1:07 pm ET Parx (Race 2) – Mil Doscientos 5/2 (2-star play)
Claimed by current connections following a second in a $12,500 claiming contest over six-and-a-half-furlongs at Tampa Bay Downs in April and built on a promising fifth in a starter optional claimer here the following month when making all to win by one-and-three-quarter-lengths in a similar race to this over track and trip last time out. Andy Hernandez retains the ride here and the son of Valiant Minister is taken to register his third win in seven career starts.
1:34 pm ET Parx (Race 3) – Goldieness 2/1 (2-star play)
The daughter of Golden Lad impressed when delivering a six-and-a-quarter-length victory in a $25,000 claiming event over seven furlongs at Aqueduct at the start of April. The three-year-old has been below that form when a well beaten fourth in stronger contests since but should appreciate the return to this grade. The extra distance should not prove an issue in this grade and she looks capable of helping trainer Jamie Ness improve on his 23% strike-rate (74/317) at this meeting.
2:59 pm ET Parx (Race 6) – Instinctive 2/1 (1-star play)
Represents a trainer in Michael Moore who comes into this race with an impressive 31% strike-rate (27/88) at this meeting with those victories including a half-length triumph by the daughter of Animal Kingdom in a $16,000 allowance optional claiming race over a mile-and-seventy-yards on a firm turf course here last month. The mare tracked the pace early on that day and with similar tactics expected here she looks up to recording her fifth win in six starts at this track.
