Horse Racing picks for Parx race track on Wednesday, October 20: Cash in with Jaccaci

Jockey Leslie Mawing atop Highwaytwentyseven (5) wins the second race of the day as the Tampa Bay Downs

There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Keeneland race track. We are still in fine form with our plays, having profited 114.75 units dating back to Aug. 5. Here are 4 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races on Wednesday. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

3:08 pm Keeneland (Race 5) –  Twirling Blues 8/1

Race 5 at Keeneland is a competitive $84,000 Maiden Special Weight for two-year-olds over an extended six furlongs and I like the look of Twirling Blues who ran a nice race over a furlong shorter at Ellis Park last time out and should appreciate this extra distance. Ian Wilke’s son of Twirling Candy was slow out of the gates on that debut run but he moved up nicely in the stretch to finish fourth whilst giving the impression he’ll come on a good amount for the run. If he can break on terms here then he could take some stopping, especially with the likely favorite Fan The Fire having already failed to win in three starts.

3:40 pm Keeneland (Race 6) – Princess Causeway 5/1

Daddy Is A Legend will be tough to beat in Race 6 at Keeneland, but there looks to be some nice value against her in the shape of Princess Causeway in this $93,000 Allowance contest. She won an Allowance here as a two-year-old and, although she hasn’t quite managed to hit the board in graded company so far in her career, this is the kind of race where she can pick up the pieces late so expect her to be finishing best of all and she could upset the favorite.

4:12 pm Keeneland (Race 7) – Movie Moxy 8/5

The penultimate race at Keeneland is a seven-furlong Allowance Optional Claimer and this should go to George Weaver’s Movie Moxy. She has form figures of 213 here at Keeneland and has been running consistently well in this company so, with all of her rivals looking more than beatable, this should be fairly straightforward for this filly.

4:44 pm Keeneland (Race 8) – Jaccaci 8/1

An open looking $84,000 Maiden Special Weight for two-year-old Fillies is the eighth and final race on a very good Keeneland card and Jaccaci, who ran with great promise when fourth on debut at Churchill Downs a few weeks ago, can go close. That effort was over an extended six furlongs which is on the short side for her but after racing towards the back of the pack, she made late ground, albeit having to come wide, and finished her race off well. She’s also a daughter of Gormley, who won a Grade 1 over this mile and sixteenth trip as a two-year-old, so with her debut run under her belt and this trip expected to be ideal, she can go well.
