1:49 pm ET Parx (Race 3) – Divine Miracle 2/1 (2-star play)
Divine Miracle has demonstrated good form at around this level of late, including when completing a double when taking out an allowance optional claiming contest over a mile at Parx 3 starts back.
He drew 6 3/4 lengths clear of his rivals that day and while he finished well beaten upped to stakes company subsequently, he looked back to his best when half-a-length second to Ruby Bleu at this track last month. He is taken to reverse form with that rival with regular jockey Frankie Pennington in the saddle.
3:37 pm ET Parx (Race 7) – Captain Chazz 8/5 (2-star play)
Captain Chazz showed good form when finishing 1 1/2 lengths 4th in a $7,500 claiming contest over this trip on a muddy surface at Parx last month.
He subsequently joined current trainer Alfredo Velazquez and, having performed at a higher level when winning a $25,000 claiming event at this venue in May, the son of Weigelia is selected to record a 5th win in 11 starts at Parx with Dextor Haddock taking the ride on the 3-year-old.
4:31 pm ET Parx (Race 9) – Kisses For Emily 2/1 (2-star play)
Kisses For Emily registered a 4-length 4th in a similar race to this over 7 furlongs at Parx on her penultimate outing. She raced prominently prior to fading late on in that contest and a change of tactics to racing from off the pace saw her stay on well for a 1 1/2 length 3rd in a 6 1/2 furlong allowance optional claimer there just over two weeks ago.
She steps up in trip today and looks up to providing trainer Louis C Linder Jr with a winner.
