Horse Racing picks for Parx race track on Wednesday, October 6: Can't go wrong with That's Right

Jockey Leslie Mawing atop Highwaytwentyseven (5) wins the second race of the day as the Tampa Bay Downs

There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Parx race track. We are in fine form with our picks, having nailed 81 winners in our last 196 races dating back to early August while profiting 106.75 units during this stretch. Here are 3 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races on Monday. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

2:43 pm Parx (Race 5) – Flight Risk 4/5

Jamie Ness’s seven-year-old will be a short price for this contest, but he warrants it. Although he’s just a four-time winner from 36 starts, he has some smart form in the book, including an allowance victory at Parx. He returned to the venue for his most recent start, finishing second in a track and distance event behind an impressive winner. The pair pulled fifteen lengths clear of the third and that helps give the form substance. He’s kept in the same grade and although he’s drawn wide, he should have no problem breaking to the lead under Ruben Silvera. If he can match that recent track second, he’s going to be very tough to beat.

3:10 pm Parx (Race 6) – Le Weekend 2/1

An experienced seven-year-old, she has won three of her last four starts. The sequence started at Parx, where she won a $30,000 claimer in gutsy fashion. Subsequent victories came at Pimlico and Delaware, before she ran below her best at Timonium last time. That effort is best forgiven, as it likely came too soon, and she’s been given a small break since. Having won in a higher grade at Parx to start this sequence, she’ll have no problem in this company. Drawn well in gate two and racing for an in-form stable, she can return to winning ways.

4:04 pm Parx (Race 8) – That’s Right 4/1

Costing $62,000 as a two-year-old, this son of Goldencents didn’t disgrace himself on debut at Parx in August. He showed the benefit of experience at Monmouth next time, finishing a close second after attempting to make all the running. He pulled clear with the winner, which does plenty for the form, and the five and one half furlongs trip looks perfect for him. He could have been drawn better, but with a slick exit from gate nine, he should be able to cross to the lead. From there, he’ll be tough to pass as he bids to make it third-time lucky.
