Has shown ability in maiden claiming company in recent starts including when finishing fourth having faded late on in a six furlong contest at Delaware Park last month. Had previously tried racing on turf when fifth over a mile-and-one-sixteenth when fifth at this circuit the previous month. The shorter distance here looks likely to suit and with Ruben Silvera in the saddle she is taken to get off the mark at the seventh time of asking in this five-and-one-half-furlong event.
1:49 pm (Parx Race 3) – They Shot Sonny 8/5
Completed a double when taking a starter optional claimer over six furlongs at Delaware Park by three-and-a-half-lengths back in July. Could finish only third over a mile-and-seventy-yards here in a starter allowance at the start of last month but delivered a fair 49.23 four furlong breeze here earlier this month. Usually races behind the pace and with the drop back to seven furlong a positive he looks capable of making a winning return to claiming company for trainer Jamie Ness.
3:37 pm (Parx Race 7) – Vino Y Queso 9/5
Placed on both starts as a juvenile following up a third in a maiden special weight over six furlongs on debut here in November with a second place finish over the same course and distance. Likely to prove effective over this seven furlong distance and while the absence is a concern she has registered some impressive workouts in the mornings in recent times including a 47.29, when the fastest of 14 to work over four furlongs here earlier this month.
