Horse Racing picks for Santa Anita race track on Thursday, November 2: Cash Equity should be a wise investment

Santa Anita Horse Racing on Dirt

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Thursday, including at Santa Anita race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now and we are up +135.55 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

4:30 pm ET Santa Anita (Race 2) – Riley G 9/5 (2-star play)

This filly has shown solid form in 2 starts to date, including when fading into 4th when contesting a 6-furlong maiden special weight at Santa Anita in her debut in October last year.

The daughter of Flatter recorded a 5.75-length 4th at this track when making her seasonal debut last month. The drop back in trip should prove no issue and Bob Baffert’s filly looks up to breaking her maiden at the third time of asking.

6:00 pm ET Santa Anita (Race 5) – Cash Equity 5/2 (2-star play)

This 5-year-old has shown that he can be competitive at a higher level, including when 1.25-lengths 3rd in the Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap over 11 furlongs at Del Mar on his penultimate start.

The gelding gets a drop in grade today following an 8th in the Grade 2 John Henry Turf Championship at this track at the start of last month and is taken to return to winning ways now dropping back to a 9 furlongs with Juan Hernandez booked to ride.

7:00 pm ET Santa Anita (Race 7) – Golden Again 5/2 (2-star play)

This daughter of Paynter has finished on the board in each of her last 7 starts, including when delivering a nose victory in a mile starter contest at this venue 4 starts back.

The 3-year-old comes into this contest after a 1.25-length 3rd over a mile at this venue last month. She has won over this course and distance  and Steve Knapp’s filly looks up to registering her fourth career win.
