3:08 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Can’t Be Broken 9/2 (1-star play)

Race 6 at Gulfstream Park is a Maiden Claiming contest which is taking place over a 5-furlong trip on the all-weather course and one I like here is the gelding in stall 3, Can’t Be Broken, who has been knocking on the door in recent starts and has every chance of winning this. His last 5 form figures in this company read 3, 2, 2, 2 and 4, so if he can get out and into the lead from his good draw then he will take all the beating.

3:38 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Kikilove 3/1 (2-star play)

A field of 8 3-year-old fillies go to post for this $42,000 Starter Optional Claimer, in which Atthecrossroads is likely to be a warm order. But there is a filly in here in the shape of Kikilove who retains plenty of potential and can put it down to the likely favorite. Rohan Crichton’s filly was an easy winner over course and distance back in January — which was in this grade — and she has been impressing in recent workouts. As such, I wouldn’t want to be opposing her just yet.

4:07 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Jazzy T 2/1 (2-star play)

The penultimate event at Gulfstream Park is another for the female division but this time it’s the older horses who take center stage for an Allowance Optional Claiming event which can go to Jazzy T. Leonel Reyes’s mount is a 6-time winner at this course and comes into this in red hot form having finished in the first two in all of her last 7 starts and she is the one to beat here.

4:36 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – Jay’s Delight 12/1 (1-star play)

Jay’s Delight looks to have been overlooked in the finale as he’s a son of Frosted who showed a good amount of improvement from his first to his second start and he can hit the board at double figure odds. After finishing seventh in his debut, he showed a nice level of improvement when gaining a second placed effort over an extended 5 furlongs last time and — with this step up to an extended 7 furlongs being sure to suit — he can go well.
