Horse Racing picks for Gulfstream Park race track on Thursday, September 9: Nothing Lucky about it

There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Thursday, including at Gulfstream Park race track. We are in scorching-hot form with our picks; we have hit 51 winners in our last 111 races, profiting 77.7 units during this stretch. Let’s keep it rolling! Here are 3 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

12:50 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 1) – Whiskeyonhislips 5/2

Has shown ability in all five starts to date including when finishing in a career best second place when contesting a five furlong maiden claimer on turf at this track last month. Tried to make all on that occasion prior to finishing half-a-length second with the front two four clear of the third. Tackles the same distance here and is taken to get off the mark under Emisael Jaramillo who was on board last time out.

2:56 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 5) – Acting Lucky 3/1

Shaped like an improved performer this year winning twice at this track prior to finishing runner-up in a competitive five-and-one-half-furlong claiming event here last month. Most recent victory came when racing prominently prior to delivering a length success in a claimer over the same distance. The lack of a recent registered work is of no concern for Marcos Meneses mount with the three-year-old Tapizar filly taken to continue her recent progress to record a third victory at this venue.

3:59 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Bailey 2/1

Consistent gelding has finished in the first two in five of his last six starts including when winning an allowance optional claimer over six-and-one-half-furlongs here by two lengths in July. Had previously finished runner-up twice at this track including over this half-a-furlong shorter distance when beaten two-and-a-quarter-lengths on his penultimate start. Tackles what looks to be a tougher contest here but can maintain his good run of form by providing trainer Saffie Joseph Jr with a victory.
