Proved a disappointment when finishing down the field over six-and-one-half-furlongs at this venue last month when last in action. Had previously finished a good second here at the end of September over half-a-furlong shorter when attempting to make all from the five gate. The shorter distance here looks likely to suit and the Gone Astray colt is taken to register a first victory since making the switch to this track from Tampa Bay earlier this year.
1:46 pm Parx (Race 4) – Grimhilde 2/1
Having placed in three consecutive starts including twice at this venue the Hear No Evil filly doubled her career tally when taking a claiming event over five-and-one-half-furlongs at this track in September. Has been given a short break since then and having raced behind the pace from a wide draw on that occasion being drawn widest of all in this eight runner field shouldn’t inconvenience too much and Jeremy Laprida’s mount looks capable of completing a double.
2:40 pm Parx (Race 6) – Alrashaka 2/1
The daughter of Mohaymen demonstrated plenty of ability in the mornings prior to debuting here last month including when delivering a 46.43 four furlong breeze from the gate in September. Had to give best to a more experienced rival when beaten one-and-a-half-lengths in a maiden special weight over six furlongs here on debut last month and she can put that experience to good use with a top jockey in Ruben Silvera taking the rider for handler Michael Pino.
