Week 14 of the NFL season will conclude the Sunday portion of its schedule with a massive showdown between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. This is one of the most important contests of the weekend, and there are plenty of opportunities to make some money on the game, so let’s try to take advantage with our Texans vs Chiefs Same Game Parlay picks for Sunday, which gets underway at 8:20 pm ET on NBC. Make sure you also keep an eye on our NFL picks for every game this week.

Patrick Mahomes over 35.5 pass attempts (-105)
Texans vs Chiefs Same Game Parlay odds: +440
Kansas City Chiefs to win by 1-10 points over Houston Texans (+138)
While the Texans are looking like a very trendy underdog on Sunday, I’m more inclined to back Kansas City to get the job done in a must-win spot at home. However, in order to extract some value on this leg, I’ll be taking the Chiefs to win and selecting the Texans +10.5 in the alternate spread market at DraftKings. These two legs end up being plays that somewhat contradict on paper, meaning that there’s value on pairing them together. This is a game that I project to be close from the opening kick, and I can’t see either side winning by double digits given the magnitude of this game and what’s at stake. Both defenses are strong and with a total of 41.5, it’s hard to see this one being a blowout in either direction. I’m looking for a close, low-scoring game that ultimately results in a Chiefs victory. It’s not as if we’ve never seen that outcome before!

Patrick Mahomes over 35.5 pass attempts (-105)
Regardless of which team comes out on top in this game, my expectation is that Patrick Mahomes will end up dictating how this game is going to be played for both sides. When asked about the Houston defensive front, Mahomes has repeatedly mentioned the importance of getting the ball out quickly and making snap decisions in his press conferences this week. He’s absolute correct in his assessment, especially with the Chiefs entering this game with a very banged-up offensive line. With that in mind, we can expect plenty of short passes from Mahomes to his group of weapons against this ferocious pass rush. Look for the Chiefs to embark on plenty of long scoring drives in this game, one where Mahomes has a lot more input compared to the average matchup.
