For one last time this regular season, we are treated a Eastern Conference clash between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers. ESPN will have the tip at 7:30 pm ET, and the Knicks are hoping to even the series at 2-2 after ending a mini 2-game Sixers streak by winning the most recent meeting. To add some extra spice, I’ve pieced together a Knicks vs 76ers parlay at +504 odds, featuring 3 NBA player prop bets. Knicks vs 76ers parlay pick: Joel Embiid over 28.5 points (-102)
Joel Embiid was once again a late scratch for the Philadelphia 76ers in their final matchup of the 5-game West Coast road trip, as he opted not to take any chances with his knee. That decision cost the Sixers the game and also pissed off a lot of bettors who had money on the 76ers as favorites to win in that game. Wednesday is a new day and a new opportunity for Embiid to make amends. The former MVP is fully rested and recharged following such a long trip from one coast to the other, which should bring the best out of the Philly big man.
Embiid has had his fair share of big games against the Knicks over the years, averaging 30.5 points per game in 10 meetings. He comes into Wednesday’s matchup having cleared this line 9 times in 10 games, averaging 33.7 points a night during that stretch. With the news of Mitchell Robinson potentially missing this game, his main concern down low will be Karl-Anthony Towns. I think we can all agree that Embiid is the more dominant player physically, and that fact alone should allow him to have a positive impact on this game.

Knicks vs 76ers SGP pick: OG Anunoby over 4.5 rebounds (-120)
It’s really hard to quantify what OG Anunoby brings to the table for the New York Knicks on any given night. When he doesn’t play, they are barely over the .500 mark as a team (7-6), but when he suits up, the Knicks are a convincing 27-14 in 41 games. The numbers he’s putting up over the past 7 games speak for themselves – an average of 21.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3 assists per game, all improvements compared to his season averages.
Anunoby has also brought a level of security in the rebounding department, especially in games in which the Knicks are shorthanded and someone needs to step up. His last 20 games have seen him clear this line 14 times, while in road games, he’s done it 12 times in 17 played (71% success rate). Philadelphia ranks only 23rd in opponent rebounds per game, allowing 54.4 on the season, while in home games that number goes up to 55.2 per game. I’m expecting big things from OG in this game, especially if Robinson isn’t able to suit up.

Knicks vs 76ers SGP pick: Jalen Brunson over 2.5 threes (-125)
Jalen Brunson’s play is one of the main reasons for this sudden Knicks turnaround we’re witnessing. The former Maverick is averaging 25.6 points per game in his last 10 outings, and just last night he went off for 40 points and 8 dimes in the home loss to Indiana in OT. Playing on the 2nd night of a back-to-back shouldn’t hinder him too much, as he is one of those players who tend to play better when the odds are stacked against them. Brunson has played extremely well in the 3 regular-season meetings with Philly so far, at least from an individual standpoint, averaging 28 points per game. His three-ball is falling at a very solid rate of 39.1%, which is definitely an encouraging factor here.
Embiid is set to suit up for Philly after missing the Trail Blazers game the other day, which should clog up the paint a little bit more than without him, so expect Brunson to hang out around the perimeter a bit more in this game than normal. He’s cleared this line in 6 of 10 games going into Philly on Wednesday, and on the road he’s done it 13 times in 23 games this season (57%). For some reason, the 76ers cannot master the art of defending the perimeter in home games this season, allowing opponents to shoot 37.3% in those games. Only the Jazz, Bucks and Cavaliers allow a higher percentage from downtown in home games this season. I like Brunson’s chances of going off here.
