Milwaukee Bucks ML over New York Knicks (+104)

The odds might be stacked against the Bucks ahead of this one, but I am feeling quite optimistic about their chances. First off, the Bucks have been very reliable when it comes to covering the spread at Fiserv Forum lately, doing so 6 times over their last 7, dating back to last year. We also saw them dismantle the Washington Wizards on opening night, scoring 133 points.

Meanwhile, the Knicks are coming off a 115-107 loss at Miami, wasting a 37-point performance from Jalen Brunson. I find that defeat troublesome for a few reasons, mainly that as soon as the Knicks faced adversity this season, they didn’t have an answer for it. The offense has been sluggish to start the year, with New York shooting just 40% through the first 3 games, which is dead last in the league. They’re also 7th 7th-worst in three-point percentage, converting on only 33.1% of their attempts. Against the 8th-most efficient offense in the league, they might not have enough to compete here. With a 1-4 ATS record in 5 road games, I am not touching the Knicks here. Give Giannis and co. the benefit of the doubt and back the Milwaukee on the money line to start our Knicks vs Bucks Same Game Parlay.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 50.5 points+rebounds+assists (-114)

There’s been no shortage of spectacular box scores so far in the first week of the new NBA season and Giannis Antetokounmpo is responsible for a few of those. The Greek Freak is putting up video game-like numbers, posting averages of 36 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists per game. He already has a 30 and 20 game to his name, while on Sunday he dominated the Cleveland Cavaliers with 40 points and 14 rebounds. I’m expecting something similar in Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.

Milwaukee’s success in this game hinges on their leader and how productive he is. Over the years, we’ve seen the Bucks try to slow things down whenever they play the Knicks, but despite a slower pace, Giannis is still putting up 28.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and 6 assists over the last 10 meetings. Milwaukee has the 8th-best offensive efficiency so far this season, and in their 2 wins, they’ve put up 133 and 122 points. It’s quite clear that’ll be the strategy in this game as well, so let’s hope Giannis can deliver another memorable performance against a familiar foe for the next leg of our Knicks vs Bucks Same Game Parlay.

Karl-Anthony Towns 2+ made threes (-180)

KAT has a lingering quad problem which has him on the injury report as questionable ahead of every game. That injury hasn’t had much of an effect on his game, thankfully. The big man is averaging his standard 20 points and 14 rebounds per game, while shooting a respectable percentage from the perimeter. Towns has cleared this line in back-to-back games against Boston and at Miami, so I’m feeling quite optimistic he can do so again on Tuesday against the Bucks.

Speaking of the Bucks, KAT has enjoyed a lot of success in recent head-to-head meetings knocking down 2.7 threes per game over the last 10 games. He’s shooting the three-ball at 43.5% in those games, there’s nothing much the Bucks can do when trying to defend him. The point total has gone over in 5 of the last 6 meetings between these 2 teams when playing at Fiserv Forum, and if the game trends into that direction, I have no worries KAT will drain a pair of threes here.
