Indiana Pacers -2.5 over New York Knicks (-106)

The Game 3 win for the Knicks was more about the 2nd-half collapse by the Pacers as opposed to a miraculous comeback by New York. Indiana had the game pretty much in control with a 20-point lead before scoring just 42 points in the 2nd half and losing by 6 in the end. Playing once again at home, I doubt they’ll put themselves in a position like that again. Apart from losing every single Game 3 in the 3 rounds played so far, they’ve been very consistent this postseason.

In the first round against Milwaukee, the Pacers bounced back with a 26-point win in Game 4, while in the second round against the Cavaliers, they won by 20 after losing Game 3. Their home form has been impressive both in the regular season and playoffs – of the 49 games played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, they’ve won 30 of them, while losing just 4 of their last 20 at home. I doubt Indy will fall into the Knicks’ trap of slowing down the tempo in back-to-back games — they know that they are at their best when the ball is flowing and the game is played at a high pace. I expect a different approach to Sunday’s game and expect Indiana to win and cover to go up 3-1 in this series.

Tyrese Haliburton to record 8+ assists (-235)

Tyrese Haliburton was just 1 assist away from clearing this line in Game 3, which actually ended his streak of 3 consecutive games with 8 dimes. Sunday’s game was just all over the place for Indiana, as they fell apart and Haliburton couldn’t do much about it. Tuesday’s game is a chance to make amends in front of the home fans, so look for the Pacers to speed up the pace and for Haliburton to be at his best. He’s averaging 10 assists per game in 36 home games this season, and against the Knicks he dished out an average of 9 assists per game in 3 regular-season meetings.

So far this postseason, Haliburton is at 9.4 dimes per game. Along with his clutch play, that’s been one of the major reasons why the Pacers have come this deep in the Eastern Conference. He should be able to deliver another strong game to boost the chances of our Knicks vs Pacers Same Game Parlay.

Karl-Anthony Towns to score 20+ points (-180)

Of the 24 points scored in Game 3, Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 20 in the 4th quarter alone to fuel the improbable Knicks comeback. Aside from Jalen Brunson, KAT has been New York’s most consistent producer of points in this series, scoring at least 20 in all 3 games so far. I’m looking for that to continue on Tuesday as well, as the Pacers just don’t have a good matchup for him.

Towns’ three-point touch has come back, as he is averaging 3 threes per game on 45% efficiency, which is a drastic improvement from the Celtics series where he averaged 0.5 threes made per game on a pedestrian 15.8%. During the regular season, Towns averaged 30.3 points per game in 3 meetings with Indiana, shooting 56% from the field and 46% from three. Without a strong KAT game, it’s hard to expect the Knicks getting anything out of this game, so he should deliver another solid performance here.
