It is the biggest game of the NBA season so far, taking place in Las Vegas on Tuesday with the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs battling for the first trophy of the season in the NBA Cup Final!

Tip-off is set for 8.30 pm ET on Prime Video.  I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay for the Knicks vs Spurs clash priced at +496 odds, featuring a Money Line bet plus a couple of Player Prop picks. The season goes back to normal as soon as Wednesday, for NBA Picks simply head over to our website! Now let’s get into my bet.

New York Knicks Money Line (-142)

Jalen Brunson to Score 30+ Points (-125)

De’Aaron Fox to Record 6+ Assists (+144)

Same Game Parlay odds: +496

New York Knicks Money Line (-142)

We’ve reached the pinnacle of the NBA regular season, at least for the first two months of it. The New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs had very different paths to get to the NBA Cup Final, and now the race is on for the first trophy of the season. The recent form clearly favors the Knicks here – they’ve won 9 of 10 games, getting hot at just the right time. San Antonio won’t be a pushover though, they just pulled off arguably the biggest upset of the season by eliminating OKC in the semis. Victor Wembanyama is also back from injury, however he was on a minutes restriction vs the Thunder, so it’ll be interesting to see how they use him here.

From top the bottom I’d say these two teams are neck and neck talent wise, but what gives the Knicks a slight separation here is their experience accumulated over the last 3 postseason runs. In order to win under pressure you have to play in pressure situations and there’s no shortage of such games under the belt of this group. New York went all the way to the East Finals last year, they’ve learned a lesson of two during that run, so I am hoping they can implement here against a somewhat inexperienced Spurs side. It might be a close finish though, so I think going with the Money Line is a safer option here. Take the Knicks.

Jalen Brunson to Score 30+ Points (-125)

Already hailed as a top 5 Knick of all time by some people, Jalen Brunson has an opportunity to cement his legacy if he can lead the Knicks to their first trophy since the 1973 season. Obviously, the NBA Cup doesn’t hold the same value as an NBA Championship would, but motivation levels will be high from Brunson’s perspective as he looks to continue his stellar play. He took it upon himself to lead the Knicks to the NBA Cup Final by scoring 35 points at Toronto and then following it up with a 40-piece in the semis against Orlando the other day. His last 10 games read an average of 29.4 points on 50% from the field and 40% from three, significant improvements compared to his season averages. Playing under pressure is nothing new to him, he played a vital role in the Knicks deep Playoff runs over the past couple of seasons, so I expect him to step up when it matters the most. In head-to-head meetings he’s averaging 32.4 points in the last 5 games, just two games ago he scored 61 on San Antonio so I feel very comfortable in backing him to do well here.

De’Aaron Fox to Record 6+ Assists (+144)

After 7 and a half season with the Sacramento Kings and his team mainly finishing outside the playoff race, De’Aaron Fox has rejuvenated his career following the move to San Antonio. With a possibility to win a trophy right in front of him, I expect big things from the talented point-guard. What better way to give his team a chance to win here than do what he does best – distribute the basketball and get his teammates involved. On the season Fox is averaging 6.2 dimes per game which is just in line with what we’ve been seeing from him his entire career. With Victor Webmanyama back in the line-up, it’ll be much easier finding open teammates with the big fella attracting so much attention on the offensive end of the floor. This Spurs team is loaded with offensive talent, a total of 7 players besides Fox average double-digit points this season. Fox is averaging 6.8 assists in 5 meetings with the Knicks, count on him to deliver here.
