Sunday Night Football in Week 15 of the 2025 NFL campaign features the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys. We can only hope that it provides as much entertainment as the first primetime games of the week, in which the Falcons came back from 2 touchdowns down in the fourth quarter to beat the Bucs. Atlanta tight end Kyle Pitts scored 3 touchdowns. Who will find the endzone in this one?
Here are my best TD scorer bets for Sunday night, and also be sure to check out our full Vikings vs Cowboys predictions.
Justin Jefferson, WR, MIN (+165 at FanDuel)
There is no denying that the season has been a disaster for Jefferson and the Vikings. However, that presents a nice buy-low opportunity for bettors. At +170, the star wide receiver has great value to find the endzone on Sunday Night Football. Fortunately for Minnesota, J.J. McCarthy is back. I never thought it would reach the point where McCarthy playing would be a good thing for the Vikings, but here we are. The Michigan product is nothing special at this point in his career, but he is at least a lot better than Max Brosmer for crying out loud. McCarthy returned from a 1-game absence and promptly had his best game as a pro, tossing 3 touchdown passes without getting intercepted during a 31-0 rout of Washington in Week 14. None of those scoring strikes went to his WR1, but the good news for Jefferson is that his QB is finally playing with some confidence. Now they get to face a Dallas defense that is dead last in the NFL against the pass and has surrendered the most TDs through the air (29).
Javonte Williams, RB, DAL (-130 at Bet365)
The Cowboys are considerable favorites on Sunday, so they should be playing this game from ahead. That means a lot of carries can be expected for Williams, including in the red zone. As talented as George Pickens is, I have zero faith in him following his effort – or lack thereof, during last week’s crippling loss to Detroit. It would be no surprise if Dallas goes in a different direction near the goal line this weekend. Williams has scored 11 touchdowns in 2025, 9 coming on the ground and 2 via receptions. The former North Carolina standout now goes up against a solid but unspectacular Minnesota defense that has surrendered 11 rushing TDs this year.
