The 2025 MLB postseason continues on Sunday with Game 6 of the ALCS between the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays. Seattle leads the series 3-2, giving it a chance to clinch a spot in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Pickswise team is on an 62-40-1 run in this MLB best bets series. Let’s build on that momentum and hopefully deliver some more winners!

MLB best bet: Toronto Blue Jays vs Seattle Mariners Over 7.5 (-108)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

Unlike plenty of postseason games that have aces on the mound and pitching dominates, Sunday’s contest has the Over written all over it. Seattle’s Logan Gilbert vs Toronto’s Trey Yesavage is a rematch of Game 2, which was also played at the Rogers Centre on Monday. That resulted in a 10-3 Mariners victory. Gilbert worked just 3.0 innings and surrendered 3 runs on 5 hits and 1 walk. Yesavage went 4.0 innings and gave up 5 runs on 4 hits (including a homer to Julio Rodriguez) and 3 walks.

Seattle’s offense cooled off briefly at home but woke back up with Eugenio Suarez’s eighth-inning Grand Slam en route to a 6-2 victory on Friday. Toronto’s lineup caught fire by producing 23 runs in the 3 road games in this series. Even more encouraging is the fact that the Blue Jays absolutely own Gilbert. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 6-for-17 lifetime against the right-hander with 2 homers and 2 doubles; George Springer is 5-for-16 with 1 homer and 2 doubles; Alejandro Kirk is 5-for-14 with 2 doubles; Isiah Kiner-Falefa is 5-for-15 with a double; Andres Gimenez is 3-for-10 with a double. Count on both teams contributing to a relatively high-scoring affair on Sunday night.

MLB best bet: Alejandro Kirk Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-120)

Odds available at Bet365 Sportsbook at time of publishing

Kirk bats fourth in the Blue Jays’ lineup, meaning he is behind Springer and Guerrero. Given those 2 guys’ current form and their history of success against Gilbert, Kirk should have runners on base to drive in on Sunday. His own numbers against Gilbert are also encouraging.

Exceeding this 1.5 H+R+RBI quota is nothing out of the ordinary for Kirk. The 26-year-old catcher has cleared it in 3 of the last 4 games, this after doing so in 3 of the 4 outings against the Yankees to begin Toronto’s postseason campaign. He also surpassed it in the final 2 games of the regular season. There is no reason to think that Kirk will slow down in this spot.
