MLB best bet: Toronto Blue Jays vs Seattle Mariners Over 7.5 (-115)

The Over in Game 6 was a winner, and I’m going right back to the well for the series finale. Seattle’s George Kirby vs Toronto’s Shane Bieber is a rematch of Game 3, in which the Blue Jays powered their way to a 13-4 win. That’s right; 17 total runs were scored. Asking the 2 clubs to simply combine for at least 8 in Game 7 should not be too much. To say that Kirby did not fare well when pitched at T-Mobile Park in Seattle last Wednesday would be a gross understatement. The right-hander allowed 8 earned runs on 8 hits and 2 walks in just 4.0 innings.
Bieber pitched well in that contest, surrendering 2 earned runs in 6.0 innings. However, the veteran righty did not pitch this season until late August due to Tommy John surgery and he got rocked in his lone appearance against the Yankees in the ALDS (3 runs on 5 hits in only 2.2 innings). For the Mariners, J.P Crawford is 7-for-14 lifetime against Bieber and Julio Rodriguez is a decent 3-for-12 with a homer. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are even better against Kirby. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 5-for-12 all time in the matchup with a home run and 2 doubles; George Springer is 4-for-11 with a homer and a double; Andres Gimenez is 3-for-8 with a homer and a double; Daulton Varsho is 2-for-6 with a double. Count on both teams contributing to a relatively high-scoring affair on Monday evening.
MLB best bet: Daulton Varsho to get a hit (-150)

As mentioned above, Varsho has enjoyed plenty of success against Kirby. It’s a favorable lefty-vs-righty matchup for the center fielder, who has hit safely in 5 of 10 postseason games so far. He ended the regular season with at least 1 hit in 4 of the last 5 games and in 6 of the last 8, so he has been in fine form for a while now. During this stretch, Varsho has 5 multi-hit performances. Requiring just 1 from him tonight should not be too much.
