The 2025 MLB postseason continues on Wednesday with Game 3 of the ALCS between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners. Seattle holds a commanding 2-0 lead after taking both contests in Toronto. Now the Mariners can all but seal the deal in front of their home fans. The Pickswise team is on an 56-38-1 run in this MLB best bets series. Let’s build on that momentum and hopefully deliver some more winners!

MLB best bet: Seattle Mariners ML over Toronto Blue Jays (-132)

I’m not saying the Blue Jays are entirely cooked…but they’re close. Losing both games at home is rough, especially in the fashion in which it transpired. Toronto dropped the series opener 3-1 despite hitting a home run on the first pitch that Seattle threw. Since George Springer hit that initial blast, the Jays have been outscored 13-3.
Things might not improve for the AL’s top seed in Seattle. The Mariners went 51-30 at T-Mobile Park during the regular season, while the Blue Jays compiled a disappointing 40-41 road record. With George Kirby toeing the rubber, Seattle has even more reason to like its chances. Kirby started Game 5 against Detroit this past Saturday and set the tone with 5.0 innings of 1-run baseball. Through 2 postseason appearances, the right-hander owns a 2.70 ERA and a 14-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. It’s nothing new for Kirby, either. In his final 3 regular-season starts, the 27-year-old pitched to a 2.11 ERA with 31 strikeouts compared to just 1 walk.
MLB best bet: J.P Crawford to get a hit (-115)
Odds available at Bet365 Sportsbook at time of publishing
The Blue Jays are countering with right-hander Shane Bieber, whose 2025 playoff debut did not go well. Bieber worked only 2.2 innings against the Yankees and allowed 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits and 1 walk during a 9-6 loss in Game 3.
This is a favorable righty-vs-lefty matchup for Crawford, who batted .279 against RHPs in the regular season compared to .235 against righties. Crawford is an outstanding 6-for-12 lifetime against Bieber. Moreover, the 30-year-old shortstop has hit safely in 5 of 7 contests so far during the M’s postseason run.
