The MLB season continues on Saturday, and the second half of the 2025 campaign has already produced a lot of exciting action on the diamond. While there are plenty of ways to wager on all of the action this season, one of the quickest bets you can make is if a run will be scored in the first inning — YRFI or NRFI. There is still value to be had in this market, so it’s no wonder that these bets have become very popular over time. If you don’t like sweating out your wagers for 3 hours, this one will take only about 15 minutes.
The NRFI/YRFI market has been profitable for our MLB handicapping team this season, so let’s keep that momentum going! Here is today’s MLB YRFI/NRFI best bet, and don’t forget to check out our MLB picks for EVERY GAME today.
YRFI/NRFI best bet: Marlins vs Braves – YRFI (-110)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -120.
Our first best bet in the YRFI/NRFI market comes in this NL East matchup between the Marlins and Braves. Any time that Atlanta starter Erick Fedde (5.32 ERA, ) takes the mound, I’m looking to target the YRFI, and for good reason. With the Braves’ right-hander allowing 33 earned runs over his last 7 starts, this should be a good situation for the Marlins offense to continue its good run of form against a familiar foe. As for the visitors, Miami will counter with Sandy Alcantara (6.44 ERA, bottom 10% xBA and whiff rate). The Marlins’ former ace has surrendered 28 runs over his past 7 starts, including early runs in 5 of those 7 outings. All signs point me in the direction of the YRFI on Saturday.

YRFI/NRFI best bet: Blue Jays vs Dodgers – YRFI (-110)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -120.
For my second best bet in this market on Saturday, let’s roll with the another YRFI — this time on the west coast between the Blue Jays and Dodgers. Chris Bassitt has delivered a decent season for Toronto to this point, but his road metrics (6.45 ERA) are considerably worse than what his production is like at home. Furthermore, the Dodgers offense has appeared to get back on track since the return of Max Muncy earlier this week, especially with Mookie Betts finding his swing a bit over the past few games. On the other side, Blake Snell will get the ball for Los Angeles, and while he’s still one of the game’s best pitchers at his best, rust was clearly apparent in Snell’s first outing back from injury. Against a Toronto lineup that has produced well against left-handed pitching this season, Snell could be in some trouble in the opening frame.
