YRFI/NRFI Best Bet: Mariners vs Orioles – NRFI (-125)
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -130 odds.
Logan Gilbert missed about a month and a half this season due to injury, but the lanky right-hander is back and pitching well in this Mariners rotation. Seattle is red-hot following their trade deadline acquisitions, and the team is hoping to make a push towards both the postseason and the World Series. Gilbert will play a crucial role in determining how far this team is able to go, and I expect him to deliver a strong start today against the Orioles. Like most Mariner pitchers, Gilbert is traditionally a better performer when in his home park, but I have faith in his arm to perform regardless of venue. He faces an Orioles lineup that remains talented, but they are a bit watered down following their trade deadline sell-off of some key bats.
Trevor Rogers has been one of the few pleasant surprises this season for Baltimore, delivering very strong production in a starting rotation that has otherwise been very disappointing. Rogers was acquired last season for a return headlined by Kyle Stowers, and while that was a high price to pay for the southpaw hurler, Baltimore has to be happy with his current form. The left-hander has a 1.44 ERA through his first 62.1 innings pitched this season, including just 2 earned runs allowed in his last 3 starts, spanning a combined 21 innings of work. Look for a scoreless first inning between Seattle and Baltimore on Wednesday.

YRFI/NRFI Best Bet: Marlins vs Guardians – NRFI (-130)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -135 odds.
Eury Perez and Gavin Williams are 2 of the more talented young starters in the entire sport, and today’s matchup between the Miami Marlins and Cleveland Guardians is sure to be an entertaining matchup as a result. Perez was knocked around by the Braves in his last outing, but had been pitching very well prior to that poor start. I expect Eury to come back with a vengeance as he looks to rebuild momentum against this Cleveland Guardians lineup. The Guardians have been playing very good baseball of late as they look to squeeze into the playoffs on the American League side of things. Still, their offense is not an overpowering group, and I expect Perez to deliver a clean first inning on his end.
Williams is in the best form of his young career and is fresh off his best start as a major leaguer. The right-hander fell just 1 out short of a no-hitter in his last outing against the Mets, and he is now set to face another NL East opponent. Williams has allowed just 4 combined earned runs across his last 4 starts with 27.2 innings pitched in that span. He did walk 4 batters in that last outing, but has still shown increased command of the zone in this most recent stretch as well. Miami is playing the best ball of their season and they prefer to produce against right-handed pitching, but I still favor the NRFI in this matchup.
