NBA Prop Bets Today: Ace Bailey and Nikola Jokic amongst best NBA Player Props for Monday

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA begins the week with a modest 5-game slate on Monday night, although there is no shortage of quality throughout it. With 8 of the 10 teams currently set to continue playing after the end of the regular season, tonight’s games are important for potential positioning. With the Western Conference leading Oklahoma City Thunder in action too against the Denver Nuggets, too, I doubt it will be a disappointing night.

You can read all of our NBA previews. But first, check out my favorite player prop selections below.

Ace Bailey (UTA) Over 15.5 points (-115)

Utah Jazz rookie Ace Bailey has been on a roll to start March, averaging 17.8 points per game. He is also averaging 15.5 field-goal attempts per game. That would be the most of any month for him this year if he is able to maintain it. Tonight, he will be up against a Golden State Warriors team that he has averaged 20-points against over 2 games. He hit the over on this line on both occasions. His opponents are just 23rd in defensive rating over the last 10 contests, so they are not well equipped to slow him down — especially if he takes more shots than ever. With both Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford out, Bailey should have plenty of success at driving and finishing at the rim. In those games against the Warriors, he has shot 40% from deep. If he can keep that up, he will have success scoring on multiple levels in this one.

Nikola Jokic (DEN) Under 1.5 made threes (+110)

While Nikola Jokic has one of the best shooting touches in the NBA, it has abandoned him from the perimeter of late. Over the last 10 games, his accuracy from beyond the arc has dropped to 28.6%. So far in March it’s even worse, sitting at 16.7%. He will be up against an Oklahoma City Thunder team that over the last 10 games has allowed opponents to shoot just 33.4% from deep. That is the seventh-best mark in the NBA. With Isaiah Hartenstein out and Chet Holmgren questionable, they will really lack size in the paint. That should encourage the Serb to take advantage of his bulk and do the majority of his work down low rather than trying to get out of his shooting slump from distance. With the double-teams he will force in the paint and his passing ability, the Nuggets’ offense could flourish from there. In March he is averaging 3 3-point attempts per contest — and this is not the night on which his team will need him to up those numbers.
