NBA Prop Bets Today: Bam Adebayo and Scottie Barnes amongst best NBA Player Props for Tuesday

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There is a massive 11-game slate brought to us by the NBA. The featured games will be shown live on NBC. The first of these matchups will see the 2nd seeds in each of the conferences square off, as the Boston Celtics take on the San Antonio Spurs, followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves battling the Los Angeles Lakers. Just 1 game separates the teams at the moment, so a lot will be on the line in that pivotal clash.

You can find all of our NBA previews here. But first, check out my favorite player props for Tuesday’s action below.

Bam Adebayo (MIA) under 10.5 rebounds (-112)

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo has been far from dominant on the glass to start March. He has been able to record 10 or more rebounds in 1 of the 4 games that he has appeared in. He will be going up against a floor spacing big man in Alex Sarr, which should get him away from great rebounding position. Sarr is a 40% shooter from deep this season on the road. The last time that these players faced off last month, Adebayo managed just 8 boards. With Trae Young at the helm of the Wizards offense, Adebayo will have to show on pick and roll situations a lot more often tonight. Young should also uplift this Wizards scoring attack, leaving fewer defensive boards for the Heat center to chase down.

Scottie Barnes (TOR) under 6.5 rebounds (-120)

Another player who has struggled rebounding of late is Scottie Barnes for the Toronto Raptors. He has started this month averaging just 3.3 rebounds per game and has not hit the over on this line in any of his last 6 games. He will be up against the Houston Rockets for the second time this season after managing just 5 rebounds in the first matchup. The Rockets have been a dominant team on the glass, ranking 6th over the last 10 games in rebounding percentage. The teams are also 19th and 25th in pace during that stretch of games. In a slower half-court type game, rebounding opportunities should be limited. Barnes is one of the main contenders to draw the assignment of guarding Kevin Durant, which would pull him away from the basket as well. As a result, let’s back the under on his rebounding prop.

Donovan Clingan (POR) to record a Double Double – Yes (+115)

Donovan Clingan will have a major height and bulk advantage over Moussa Diabate which will give him a great chance to dominate in both points and rebounds. No player who has played more than 10 games this season has averaged more offensive rebounds per game than Clingan. It is no surprise that he is 3rd among players in second chance points per game. He has started off this month averaging 12.3 points and 12 rebounds per game, recording double-doubles in 2 of the 4 games. He came 3 points and 2 rebounds short of a double-double the last time these sides met, though foul trouble limited his playing time in that one. I expect a far more dominant performance from him in this one.
