With a couple Game 3s taking place tonight, both series will be switching away from New York and San Antonio to Philadelphia and Minnesota, respectively. In the East, the 76ers will get the chance to put their first win of the series on the board in front of their own fans. Meanwhile, out in Minnesota, the Timberwolves will look to keep hold of the home-court advantage they managed to wrestle away from the Spurs on the road.
Ahead of Friday’s NBA Playoffs action, I’ve compiled my favorite player prop bets for both Game 3s, while you can also find our full NBA previews for EVERY postseason game.
NBA player prop: Josh Hart (NYK) under 1.5 made threes (-120)
In Game 2, Josh Hart seemed to have injured his thumb. He was able to continue but is listed as questionable to play Friday. With this being the playoffs, I expect him to play through it. However, it could impact his shooting, which already has been far from great. Through 8 postseason games, he has knocked down 2 or more three-pointers on just 1 occasion, connecting on just 23.3% of shots from deep. Through the opening 2 games against the 76ers, he is averaging just 3.5 attempts per game. Do not expect those numbers to increase if he is feeling uncomfortable shooting the ball. In the regular season, his three-point shooting dipped on the road, so it looks unlikely that he will have a big performance from beyond the arc Friday night.

NBA player prop: Stephon Castle (SAS) over 1.5 made threes (+170)
While he was not a factor from beyond the arc in Game 2, this has not been the case for Stephon Castle throughout the postseason, as he had knocked down at least 2 threes in each of his previous 6 games. Efficiency has not been an issue either, considering his 42.4% accuracy from deep during these playoffs. Volume has been there too, with 5 or more attempts in 4 of the 7 games. He is still a player that does most of his damage by getting downhill, so do not be surprised to see the Timberwolves continue giving him opportunities to shoot from beyond the arc. During the regular season, his three-point accuracy improved in road games, which means he’s relatively unfazed by hostile environments.
