These are the moments the Spurs envisioned De’Aaron Fox would come alive when they traded for him over a year ago. The Spurs rebuild happened faster than many thought, and now they have a real opportunity to make news in a loaded Western Conference. The Spurs trio of De’Aaron Fox, Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle has led them to the #2 seed in the West, with Fox taking somewhat of a backseat during the regular season to the young duo. However, now that the real season has begun, I expect Fox to take on more usage and create for others much more than we saw during the regular season.
The Trail Blazers will likely throw different looks at Wembanyama, so expect Fox to carry much of the offensive responsibility from a playmaking and scoring standpoint.
