Day 1 of the NBA postseason did not disappoint. Home teams went 4-0, including a surprising Lakers win to take a 1-0 series lead. With more playoff action on deck, let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets for Sunday, April 19. You can also find out our expert NBA picks for today’s matchups and every game throughout the postseason.

NBA player prop bet: Paul George (PHI) over 8.5 rebounds+assists (-112)

Odds available at Bet365 Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Aside from a 1st quarter donut, Paul George was solid in the 76ers play-in victory versus the Magic on Wednesday night. He turned up his scoring in the 2nd quarter with 11 points, but when his shot wasn’t falling early, he was facilitating at a high rate. He recorded 4 assists in the 1st half, logging a 22% usage rate – a number I expect to rise today against the Celtics.

Without Joel Embiid, George has answered the call. He’ll carry a big load, alongside Tyrese Maxey, while getting stints without the All-NBA guard. That calls for facilitating duties and plenty of rebounding opportunities against a Celtics team that shoots 3-pointers at a top-5 clip.

Bet365 and BetMGM are headlining the market with this prop at a playable number and price that you can take advantage of. Nonetheless, FanDuel is offering the over of 9.5 rebs+asts at +122 – a price I’d play for .75 units.

NBA player prop bet: De’Aaron Fox (SAS) over 9.5 rebounds+assists (-110)

Odds available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.

These are the moments the Spurs envisioned De’Aaron Fox would come alive when they traded for him over a year ago. The Spurs rebuild happened faster than many thought, and now they have a real opportunity to make news in a loaded Western Conference. The Spurs trio of De’Aaron Fox, Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle has led them to the #2 seed in the West, with Fox taking somewhat of a backseat during the regular season to the young duo. However, now that the real season has begun, I expect Fox to take on more usage and create for others much more than we saw during the regular season.

The Trail Blazers will likely throw different looks at Wembanyama, so expect Fox to carry much of the offensive responsibility from a playmaking and scoring standpoint. I prefer to back Fox’s rebs+asts prop, but adding on his points is a playable angle as well. DraftKings is offering his pts+rebs+asts of 27.5 at -107.
