Week 2 of the NFL regular season is off and running. It continues with 13 games on Sunday, giving us plenty of options for a stacked Daily Fantasy roster.
Here are my Week 2 picks, using prices from DraftKings. Also be sure to check out all of our NFL picks for EVERY Week 2 matchup.
QB – Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills ($7100)
I’m willing to spend a lot on the best quarterback in the game. He’s just that good. Allen is the reigning NFL MVP and he has to be the frontrunner for the award once again following his Week 1 performance against Baltimore. The Wyoming product led Buffalo to an epic 41-40 comeback victory while throwing for 394 yards and accounting for 4 touchdowns (2 passing, 2 rushing). Count on him torching a New York defense that just let 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers put 34 points on the scoreboard for Pittsburgh.
RB – Breece Hall, New York Jets ($6200)
Based on how Buffalo’s defense played in Week 1, Bills vs Jets could be an absolute shootout. Buffalo surrendered 238 rushing yards to Baltimore last weekend. To be abundantly clear, Hall and Justin Fields are not Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson. Still, New York can do damage in this match. Hall is coming off a 19-carry, 107-yard performance in addition to 38 receiving yards against the Steelers.
RB – Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys ($5800)
Williams got only 15 carries and turned them into 54 yards against Philadelphia, but he rewarded Dallas with 2 touchdowns. He should get considerably more work against the Giants, who watched the Commanders run all over them to the tune of 220 yards on 32 attempts. That kind of inept ground defense is nothing new for New York, which was #27 league wide last year while giving up 4.6 yards per rush.
WR – Malik Nabers, New York Giants ($7100)
Nabers got 12 targets in Week 1 and he still isn’t happy. Just think how many he could get on Sunday! It’s not ideal that Russell Wilson is still at quarterback instead of Jaxson Dart, but at least the 36-year-old is throwing – or trying to throw – the football to Nabers. The former LSU standout caught 5 of those targets for 71 yards against Washington this past Sunday. Now he faces a Dallas defense that can be vulnerable…especially without Micah Parsons.
WR – D.K. Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers ($5900)
I’m not sure if Rodgers can stay healthy and maintain a full season’s worth of success with the Steelers, but early returns are encouraging. They should be able to sustain momentum at least for a few weeks, especially against a Seattle defense that gave up 265 passing yards on 7.9 yards per attempt during a 17-13 loss to San Francisco. In his first outing with Pittsburgh, Metcalf hauled in 4 passes on 7 targets for 83 yards.
WR – Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills ($5100)
DFS is an all-or-nothing kind of game, so grabbing a QB and a WR on the same team is not a bad idea. If one has a bad game, who cares if the other one does because you already aren’t going to win. But if both go off, you’re sitting pretty. Coleman opened the 2025 campaign with 8 receptions on 11 targets for 112 yards and 1 touchdown. The second-year receiver out of FSU should be able to victimize the Jets for big numbers.
TE – Hunter Henry, New England Patriots ($4000)
I’ll save some money on more important positions by getting a relative bargain in the tight-end spot. Henry comes rather cheap, but he has big potential as one of Drake Maye’s top targets in the Patriots’ offense. It should be noted that Maye aired it out a whopping 46 times in last week’s 20-13 setback against Oakland. Eight of those targets went in Henry’s direction, of which he caught 4 for 66 yards. Basically the entire Dolphins team in shambles, so the Arkansas product should be in line for a big week.
FLEX – Travis Etienne, Jr., RB, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5700)
With an occasional exception, I pretty much always want a running back rather than a wide receiver in the flex position. RBs are simply more reliable. Etienne went wild in Week 1, going for 143 yards on 16 carries during a 26-10 win over Carolina. Cincinnati’s defense actually played well last weekend, but keep in mind that it was facing Cleveland. The Browns’ offense can make anyone look good. This time around, the Bengals’ defense will be in a lot more trouble against Etienne and the Jags.
D/ST – Los Angeles Rams ($3100)
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick, completed just 12 of 28 passes for 112 yards while losing one fumble. Ward obviously has a lot of potential, but there could be some significant growing pains for the entire offense in 2025 – especially in the early stages. It doesn’t help that Ward and company have to face a Rams defense — led by Jared Verse at outside linebacker — that had no trouble containing Houston’s CJ Stroud in the season opener. Tennessee gained a mere 2.4 yards per play. It wasn’t only Ward’s fault — far from it, in fact. The visitors churned out just 71 rushing yards in Denver while averaging 3.4 yards per attempt.
