Week 3 of the NFL regular season is off and running. It continues with 14 games on Sunday, giving us plenty of options for a stacked Daily Fantasy roster.

Here are my Week 3 picks, using prices from DraftKings. Also be sure to check out all of our NFL picks for EVERY Week 3 matchup.

QB – Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys ($5900)

Prescott did not do anything in the season opener against Philadelphia, but in Week 2 he torched the Giants for 361 yards and 2 touchdowns. He could inflict similar damage on Chicago, especially if he slings it around more than 50 times in a second straight game. The Bears rank #23 against the pass so far this year and have already allowed an absurd 7 passing touchdowns. No other team in the entire league other than the Dolphins (who have played 3 games and have yielded 6) has given up more than 5 TDs through the air.

RB – Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts ($7200)

If you had Taylor on your fantasy team during last year’s playoffs (*raises hand*), you remember what he did the last time he went up against Tennessee. In Week 16, Taylor went off to the tune of 218 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. The rematch should be productive for Indy’s star running back, as the Titans currently rank #29 league wide against the run. They are giving up 150.0 rushing yards per contest and have surrendered 3 TDs on the ground.

RB – Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals ($6900)

Cincinnati’s offense could be more run heavy now that Joe Burrow is out for at least 3 months due to toe surgery. Brown, of course, would be the beneficiary. Even with Burrow on the field for all of Week 1 and some of Week 2, the Illinois product got 37 total carries in addition to catching 4 of 6 targets. He has a favorable matchup against the Vikings, who are second-to-last in the NFL in rushing defense at 168.5 yards per contest.

WR – Drake London, Atlanta Falcons ($6000)

London scored 9 touchdowns during the 2024 campaign, 3 of which came against the NFC South rival Panthers. He had 6 receptions on 10 targets for 74 yards and 1 score in the first meeting and then torched Carolina for 10 catches on 18 targets with 187 yards and 2 TDs in the season finale. More success should be expected on Sunday, especially with QB Michael Penix Jr. looking good and clearly identifying London as his favorite target (WR2 Darnell Mooney has been dealing with a shoulder injury).

WR – D.K. Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers ($5700)

I’m not sure if Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy and maintain a full season’s worth of success with the Steelers, but early returns are encouraging – 447 passing yards and 5 touchdowns through 2 outings. Metcalf has not done a whole lot (although he did score a TD last week against Seattle), which makes me think that Rodgers and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will focus on getting the ball to him early and often on Sunday. The Patriots are dead last in the NFL in passing defense through 2 weeks.

WR – Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears ($5300)

Chicago may be 0-2, but make no mistake about it – Odunze is on fire to begin the 2024 campaign. The former Washington standout has hauled in 13 of 20 targets for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns. To say that his connection with Caleb Williams is clicking would be a gross understatement. Now they face a Cowboys club that currently ranks #30 in the NFL against the pass.

TE – Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys ($4000)

DFS is an all-or-nothing kind of game, so grabbing a QB and a TE on the same team is not a bad idea. If both go off, you could be in really good shape. And both Prescott and Ferguson have a great chance to light up the Bears. Ferguson has been targeted 18 times already this season, which he has turned into 14 receptions for 101 yards. The Wisconsin product has not yet found the endzone, but it’s only a matter of time. The Bears gave up the 12th-most fantasy points to TEs in 2024 and watched Detroit backup Brock Wright score a TD this past weekend.

FLEX – Travis Etienne, Jr., RB, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5900)

With an occasional exception, I pretty much always want a running back rather than a wide receiver in the flex position. RBs are simply more reliable. I rolled with Etienne last week and he delivered a touchdown to go along with 89 yards from scrimmage against Cincinnati. That was preceded by gaining 143 yards on 16 carries during a 26-10 win over Carolina. Houston’s run defense is in the bottom half of the league so far, so look for Etienne to stay hot.

D/ST – Washington Commanders ($3000)

Jayden Daniels is out, leaving Marcus Mariota to start at quarterback. As such, the Commanders will probably be inclined to run the ball, keep the clock moving and turn their game against the Raiders into a defensive slog. Las Vegas has scored just 29 total points, has already turned the ball over 4 times this year and Geno Smith has taken 6 sacks.
