After the fairly drab start to NFL Week 6 as the Chiefs beat the Broncos on Thursday, the good news is we should have a much more entertaining finale as the Cowboys take on the Chargers on Monday Night Football.

The Cowboys are under pressure to perform after being destroyed by the 49ers in their last game, although they weren’t the first team to suffer that fate and they won’t be the last. The Chargers are back from their bye after a 2-2 start in which the result of every game was in the balance most of the way and this has the makings of another dramatic encounter. I have put together a 3-leg Cowboys vs Chargers Same Game Parlay that would provide a payout of +735 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook if it is successful.

You can check out the full game preview in our Week 6 NFL picks, but now let’s take a look at our Cowboys vs Chargers Same Game Parlay.

Over 50.5 points (-115)

Jake Ferguson 50+ alternate receiving yards (+182)

Josh Palmer 50+ alternate receiving yards (+100)

Same Game Parlay odds: +735

Over 50.5 points (-115)

I’m in agreement with our Cowboys vs Chargers predictions writer John Martin’s view that this should be a high-scoring game. These are two of the more high-powered offenses in the league and it’s hard to see them engaging in a low-scoring defensive battle. The Chargers’ first 3 games produced totals of 70, 51 and 52 points before a more subdued 41 against the Raiders. The Cowboys have been involved in a lot of one-sided games that have seen them winning big and losing big, but at least one team has reached 28 points in every one of their games and I expect these teams to match each other score for score for the majority of this contest, with both teams likely reaching at least the mid-20s.

Jake Ferguson 50+ receiving yards (+182)

The Cowboys may well be regretting letting go of Amari Cooper as they have struggled to replace the wide receiver adequately since trading him to the Browns, but they shouldn’t have any similar regrets about allowing tight end Dalton Schultz to leave after 5 years with the team. Schultz has made a decent start after making the short move to Houston, but the Cowboys can be happy with the way his replacement as the team’s leading TE, Jake Ferguson, has stepped into the role.

The second-season player has already exceeded the 174 receiving yards he posted in his rookie season, with 20 receptions for 175 yards in 5 games this year and he should be a reliable target for Dak Prescott on Monday night. Ferguson had only 28 receiving yards in the blowout loss to the 49ers last week but should find the Chargers’ defense to be much more welcoming and he could get past the 50-yard mark once more at a price that is well into plus-money. He caught all 7 of his targets for 77 yards against the Patriots in Week 4, a week after going for 48 yards against Arizona. The Chargers gave up 8 catches and 78 yards to Minnesota’s TJ Hockenson and 44 to Durham Smythe of the Dolphins, and Ferguson should be in the mix to have another strong game on MNF.

Josh Palmer 50+ receiving yards (+100)

Removing Mike Williams from the Chargers offense due to the veteran receiver’s season-ending injury left a lot of receiving yards to be shared around his teammates and Josh Palmer is in prime position to benefit. The Chargers had 445 total passing yards in Williams’ final game of the season, when Keenan Allen went off for 215 receiving yards and Williams signed off with 121, but there was still enough offensive firepower for Palmer to add 66 yards and a TD. He went past this mark again, leading the team with 77 receiving yards against the Raiders in Week 4, and should be a go-to guy for Justin Herbert even with rookie Quentin Johnston also being worked into the mix.

We have a pair of Cowboys vs Chargers anytime TD scorer picks at +155 and +250 odds
