NFL Thanksgiving Betting Guide, Odds & Trends

A tradition like no other happens again on Thursday with the NFL playing three games back to back to back and should give a full day of entertainment after a nice Thanksgiving meal. The only thing that could make the day better would be to win some money in between your afternoon naps. Let’s break down each of the games and where there is money to be made for NFL Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

The first game to kick off is at 12:30 PM ET between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. The line started at Bears -3.5 and that line has moved to 4. The total opened up at 45 and has moved up to 45.5.

The Bears are the better team coming into the game having won four games in  a row, and covered all four of those spreads. One of those wins was a 34-22 victory over the Lions. The Lions come into this game having won their last game against the Carolina Panthers by a point, but had lost three games in a row before that point.

Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys

The second game to kick off is scheduled for 4:30 PM ET when the Washington Redskins go to the Lonestar State to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The Redskins sit in first place of the NFC East but are turning to Colt McCoy with Alex Smith out of the year. The have had issues scoring as of late, scoring 21 points or less in each of the last four games. The Cowboys are trying to make a surge and have been a really good team at home this year losing only one game at Jerry World.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints

The last game of Thanksgiving to kick off is set for 8:20 PM ET when the Atlanta Falcons make the trip to New Orleans to take on the Saints.

The Falcons have had some real issues this year and come into this game having lost two games in a row and the offense has been struggling. The Saints have had no issues as of late winning nine games in a row and a lot of them have been dominating. In their last game they took on the Eagles and dominated winning 48-7.

Some trends to take note of. Falcons are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Falcons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. Saints are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Saints are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC. Underdog is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings.
