North Carolina Tar Heels ML over Syracuse Orange (+114)
This game has all the makings of North Carolina finally breaking through for its first ACC victory. After all, the Tar Heels are coming off a couple of solid performances against the likes of California and Virginia, which could’ve easily resulted in victories in either game. The off-the-field stuff has certainly been a distraction, but the on-field product has gradually improved as the season has gone on, and North Carolina will be playing a Syracuse team that has struggled mightily since suffering an injury to its starting quarterback a month ago. The market has faded the Tar Heels this week, seeing as Syracuse currently sits as a 2.5-point favorite. However, we’ll still back the Tar Heels on the money line to lead off our Same Game Parlay.

Regardless of which team wins this game, the under is my preferred look on the total. For starters, the North Carolina offense has been brutal all season long, with the Tar Heels currently ranked 124th in success rate, 127th in EPA per play and a whopping 129th in points per drive, per CFB-Graphs. Even with the struggles of the Syracuse defense, this is an offense that has not scored 20 points in well over a month at this point. As for the Orange, this is a team that is now on its third string quarterback and the North Carolina defense is surprisingly up to a top 40 unit in Early Downs EPA and an average group in terms of points per drive allowed. This should be an ugly game, so we’ll back the under on Saturday.

Benjamin Hall over 43.5 rushing yards (-120)
To close out our North Carolina vs. Syracuse Same Game Parlay, let’s focus on Benjamin Hall to exceed his rushing prop total for the third consecutive game. The North Carolina passing offense has been a major issue, so it’s no surprise that Hall has racked up 25 carries over the last 2 weeks, and he’s also combined for 118 yards on the ground in those contests. Assuming that Hall gets another 10+ carries against a porous Syracuse rush defense (127th in rushing success rate allowed), he should finish with around 50 rushing yards and clear this number once again.
