After a long and eventful offseason, the 2025 college football season is finally here. After a wild slate on the docket on Saturday, a Sunday doubleheader is here to give us more great action on the gridiron. The highlight of the day is a game between Notre Dame and Miami at 7:30 pm ET on ABC. Notre Dame had an excellent season a year ago, finishing with just 1 regular season loss before coming up short in the National Championship game against Ohio State. On the other side, Miami enters this season with renewed expectations following a disappointing end to its 2024 campaign, and it’ll look to start off strong against a familiar foe.
With so much intrigue in this Week 1 game of the 2025 college football season, a Notre Dame vs Miami Same Game Parlay is in order. Here are my favorite parlay picks for this matchup; let’s end Week 1 with a big winner!
Miami ML (+120)
1st Half under 25.5 (-124)
Jeremiyah Love anytime touchdown scorer (-210)

Miami Hurricanes ML over Notre Dame Fighting Irish (+120)
There could be some growing pains for a new-look Notre Dame offense in the new year without Riley Leonard and a host of new players on the roster. Reports coming out of fall camp were not promising, redshirt freshman CJ Carr will still get the start under center for the Fighting Irish on the road in this one. With that in mind, we can expect Notre Dame to lean on the run game with all-world running back Jeremiyah Love out of the backfield to initiate its offense against a Miami defense that should be an improved unit compared to a season ago.
As for the hosts, Georgia transfer Carson Beck will make his first start in the green and orange at quarterback, and he’ll have big shoes to fill in replacing Cam Ward, who put together a tremendous season a year ago. More importantly, Shannon Dawson is also back for his third year as offensive coordinator for Miami, and the Canes’ offense has taken leaps and bounds ever since he took over the reigns. Miami finished the 2024 as the top-ranked offense in the nation and top-ranked scoring offense at 43.9 points per game. While we can’t expect that level of success to continue into this season, Miami still has home field advantage and a deep pool of talent on both sides of the ball. All things considered, I’ll take Miami as short underdogs on the money line in this one.

1st Half under 25.5 (-124)
Given the fact that we’re getting a couple of massive nationally-recognized brands and two of the top 10 teams in the nation facing off against each other, the over will be a popular play on Sunday evening. However, my inclination is to fade that notion and back the under in Miami. We’ve seen plenty of lower-scoring contests over the course of Week 1 and the game script for both sides here suggests a lower-scoring contest, especially since we have serious questions for both offenses. Notre Dame should play at a fairly slow pace and stick to the ground game early on against this upgraded Miami defensive front. As for Miami, Beck should have his hands full with a Notre Dame defense that could be one of the best defenses in America this season. Let’s look for a slow start for both offenses on Sunday.

Jeremiyah Love anytime touchdown scorer (-210)
Despite all of the high-level talent on display in this storied rivalry, Jeremiyah Love will be the best player on the field, and we project him to have a major impact in this one. The Notre Dame running back should be the top player in the nation at his position this fall, and we can expect him to get plenty of work in this game against a Miami defense that while talented, still needs to show consistent improvement following a couple of poor seasons of late. Given the fact that Love recorded 17 touchdowns a season ago, let’s take the All-American running back to find the end zone on Sunday.
