A 7-game slate in the NBA on Wednesday is headlined by a double-header on ESPN. Before the Oklahoma City Thunder visit the San Antonio Spurs, the New York Knicks will host the Denver Nuggets. The opener should be a good one, with the Nuggets (33-18) having Nikola Jokic back at their disposal and the Knicks (32-18) in the midst of a 7-game winning streak.

With Wednesday’s showdown set for 7:00 pm ET on ESPN, it’s time to break down my SGP. Also don’t forget to check out our full Nuggets vs Knicks prediction.

New York Knicks -6.5 (-110)

OG Anunoby Over 2.5 made threes (+162)

Nikola Jokic Over 24.5 points (-122)

Parlay odds: +863

Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Knicks forward OG Anunoby draining a few 3-pointers would obviously work well with a New York win and cover. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with also backing Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic to score his fair share of points. But even if he does, there is no reason why the home team can’t take care of business. Let’s break down all of the SGP legs.

New York Knicks -6.5 (-110)

The Knicks have not lost since their players-only meeting last month, and during this stretch they have won by fewer than 12 points only once. Recent victories have come by 54, 16, 26, 30, 12 and 31 points. They are simply crushing teams. Anunoby, Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges are all in outstanding form. This should be a good spot for them against a Nuggets squad that is playing the second leg of a back-to-back situation after losing at Detroit on Tuesday. Denver is just 2-3 in its past 5 games and 4-4 in its past 8. New York is 20-6 at Madison Square Garden this season compared to 11-12 on the road, so it should be in line for another big win in front of the home crowd.

OG Anunoby Over 2.5 made threes (+162)

Anunoby has made at least 3 triples in 3 consecutive contests and in 4 of the last 5. This hot streak includes 2 performances with 4 successful dials from long distance. Over the past 6 outings, Anunoby is shooting better than 50 percent from the land of plenty. With Miles McBride out and Josh Hart, Mitchell Robinson and Mohamed Diawara all listed as questionable, the Knicks could be short and depth – thus resulting in a ton of court time for Anunoby. He is going up against a Denver team that is in the middle of the pack in 3-point defense and has watched opponents average 15 triples over the past 3 contests.

Nikola Jokic Over 24.5 points (-122)

Jokic is averaging 29.1 ppg, so asking him simply to reach the 25 mark on Wednesday should not be too much. His quota is low since he has scored a modest 20.0 ppg in the last two outings, but keep in mind that he just missed a month with a knee injury. Three games into his comeback, Jokic – who went for 31 points last Friday against the Clippers – should start getting back into a groove. Aaron Gordon (17.7 ppg) is sidelined, so Jokic will have to shoulder much of his team’s scoring load – especially around the basket.
