The Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks are set to face off in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight. It’s the first time the Knicks have got this far into the postseason since 2000, when they also met the Pacers in the ECF. Over 224 (-110)
The Indiana Pacers have been getting themselves involved in high-scoring games this postseason. Over their last 7 games, they have seen 6 games surpass the combined 230-point mark. With the team 3rd in pace among all teams during the playoffs, they have been playing a style of basketball that lends itself to both teams putting up points. The New York Knicks should be well-positioned to do their part. The hosts have so far faced off against strong defensive teams, with their opponents having ranked 3rd and 4th in defensive rating this postseason. The Pacers are unlikely to put up the same level of resistance.
The Pacers have been incredibly efficient, leading this postseason in true shooting percentage. While the Knicks could have issues matching that, there will be ways they can aid their scoring numbers. Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam have been far from dominant on the glass, with neither big having averaged more than 7.5 rebounds per game in either of the first 2 rounds of the postseason. The Knicks have been 2nd in opponent second-chance points per game and should be able to take full advantage. The hosts tonight have managed to score at least 120 points in each of the 3 regular-season games against the Pacers and are capable of doing so once more. Expect a hot start to the Eastern Conference Finals tonight.

Karl-Anthony Towns to score 25+ points (+142)
Although he is 2nd to Jalen Brunson in scoring for the Knicks this postseason, I would argue Karl-Anthony Towns’ impact on their success has been just as important. He’s averaging just under 20 points per game to go along with 11.3 rebounds, and judging by how he’s played the Pacers lately, those numbers look set to go up. Towns is averaging 29 points per game in his last 10 outings against Indiana and has scored 30 or more points 6 times, with a couple of 40-point explosions in there as well. In fact, his last game against Indiana saw him drop 40 on 14-for-23 shooting from the field and 3 threes made.
After shooting just 15% from downtown against the Celtics, I am convinced this is the series where KAT will turn things around. After all, he did shoot 48% against the Pistons in those 6 games in the first round, and we all know that KAT is a lot better than what he showed in the East semis. He’s cleared this line in 3 of 4 meetings and I believe we’re getting good value here for Game 1 in our Pacers vs Knicks Same Game Parlay.

Tyrese Haliburton to record 8+ assists (-240)
We are in the midst of the Tyrese Haliburton signature postseason run. The 25-year-old has impressed with his stellar play so far in the 10 games, averaging 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game. But besides the raw numbers, Haliburton has been able to master the art of scoring in the clutch as well, which could be crucial down the line in this series.
He’s had a lot of success against the Knicks over the last 10 meetings, averaging 7.6 assists per game. The 2 most recent meetings saw him clear this number, and in one of those games he exploded for 35 points and 14 assists. New York’s coverage of opposing point guards has been problematic this year. They ranked 12th-worst in assists, 4th-worst in rebounds and 2nd-worst in points allowed to opposing point guards this season. This is a chance for Haliburton to make a name for himself, so let’s hope he can have an impact in Game 1.
