This matchup gets started at 11:00 pm ET live on NBC, and I’ve put together a Thunder vs Clippers parlay for the matchup at +660 odds. Let’s break down each leg, while you can also check out our expert NBA picks for every matchup tonight and throughout the season!

Oklahoma City Thunder -7.5 over LA Clippers (-106)

Can anyone stop the defending champs? OKC is off to a flawless 7-0 start, despite a bumpy ride at the very beginning where they were pushed to overtime in their first 2 games. SGA and company haven’t missed a beat over the summer, despite not having Jalen Williams available for these first 2 weeks, who is their 2nd-most important player. The Thunder are beating opponents by an average of 13.1 points per game and their last 2 wins against New Orleans and Washington were by a combined 50 points. Obviously, this matchup with the Clippers should be a lot tougher, but I still like them to win this one somewhat comfortably.

LA is playing on the 2nd night of a back-to-back, and they just lost to the Miami Heat at home yesterday despite getting solid production from their 2 best players in Kawhi Leonard and James Harden. For the oldest roster in the NBA, it might be problematic playing a back-to-back against competitive opponents; it is not out of the question that either Kawhi or Harden gets rested here. Bradley Beal is also a game-time decision, so the Clippers will need all the scoring they can get if they want to get a result. I’m sticking with the Thunder to remain perfect.

Chet Holmgren to record a Double-Double (+140)

Chet Holmgren to record a double-double is one of my favorite NBA player prop bets to wager on. So far in 4 games played, he has registered a double-double 3 times, with the only exception being against the Rockets, who have one of the tallest rosters in NBA history.

Against the Clippers, Holmgren will face Ivica Zubac down low, which on paper looks like a challenging matchup. However, Chet has successfully cleared this line in the last 2 meetings with the Croatian big man. Having not played in the last 3 games, he should have the freshness advantage as well, so I’m counting on him to get the job done here. LA ranks 29th in opponent offensive rebounds, giving up 13.6 per game, and Holmgren should have little issue getting his fill in that department.

Alex Caruso 2+ made threes (-106)

Alex Caruso won’t give you the flashiest numbers on a nightly basis, but his impact is big in the limited time he gets coming off the bench. In just 12 minutes played, he knocked down a pair of threes in the big win over New Orleans, which was the 3rd time in 4 games that he has posted 2 triples.

The Clippers have slipped a little when it comes to three-point defense, as they rank only 24th in opponent three-point efficiency to start the season. Only the Utah Jazz allow more threes per game, so that’s definitely an area that the Thunder can exploit. In the 6 most recent meetings, Caruso is averaging 2.2 makes from deep on a 43.3% success rate, dating back to his days with the Chicago Bulls. If we get a competitive game here, Caruso should get enough minutes to surpass this number for the 4th time in 5 games.
