Over 220.5 (-110)
This has been a high-scoring series so far, continuing a trend set in the 4 regular-season meetings where the Over cashed 3 times. Game 1 was the only game that finished with less than 220.5 points, which is the total set for Game 5, I’m looking for the floodgates to once again open up after we saw 254 points in Game 4. OKC has done a fantastic job at pushing the pace this postseason, especially in home games, where they’ve averaged the most possessions per game (101). They also rank 3rd in offensive efficiency in home games, scoring an average of 122.3 points per 100 possessions, while posting the best Net Rating of +24.2 points.
Closeout games are never easy and I expect Minnesota to put up resistance here considering their season is on the line, so it makes more sense to bet on the total rather than backing OKC to cover. The Thunder have scored at least 118 points in 7 postseason games so far and the Over has cashed in 12 of 17 meetings in Oklahoma City. Let’s stick with the trends and take the Over to kickstart our Timberwolves vs Thunder Same Game Parlay.

Alex Caruso 2+ made threes (+120)
Alex Caruso’s contribution to the success of the Thunder has been immense this postseason, especially on the defensive end. However, I am looking for him to make an impact on offense, something he has been able to do consistently in all 3 rounds so far. He’s scored at least 1 three in 12 of 14 games played this postseason, averaging 1.8 makes per game on 43.5% efficiency.
The phrase “role players play better at home” isn’t just a saying and Caruso is the prime example of that. He averages more points per game at Paycom Center as opposed to when he plays on the road, plus his efficiency goes up by 5.7% from the field and 3.5% from three-point land. He is one of the more experienced Thunder players and knows what it takes to win it all, having won a ring with the Lakers back in 2020. That should hopefully result in a productive game on Wednesday as OKC clinches a spot in the NBA Finals for the first time since 2012.

Anthony Edwards 3+ made threes (-194)
There are no guarantees going into Game 4 from the Timberwolves’ perspective, but if there’s one thing we can be sure of it’s the fact that Anthony Edwards won’t go out without a fight. Although consistency has eluded him at times, especially from three-point land, Ant Man is Minnesota’s most important player and they’ll only go as far as he carries them. With the season on the line, I think we can expect at least 22-25 field-goal attempts here. He’s averaging just shy of 26 points per game this postseason on solid efficiency from three-point land at 36.6%.
Following back-to-back 30+ point games, Edwards laid an egg in Game 4, scoring just 16 points and committing 5 turnovers. Game 5 is the perfect opportunity for him to make amends. He’s cleared this line twice in this series while averaging 2.5 makes from three. In the first and second round, he averaged 3.2 and 3.8 threes per game, and we all know Edwards is better than what he’s shown so far in the series. Without a dominant performance from him, the Timberwolves’ season likely ends tonight.
