Friday night in the NBA has a full slate of games ahead of us. There aren’t any shortage of storylines this season, and tonight’s games have a few interesting aspects: the new look Celtics square off against Miami in their home opener. The Thunder take on the Cavs in Cleveland, and we get the revenge game of all revenge games in Kyrie squaring off against Brooklyn. Let’s take a look at my favorite player props.

Check out all of our NBA picks for tonight.

Jalen Duren (DET) over 1.5 steals + blocks (-135)

Line available on DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Duren logged 4 blocks in game 1 against Miami, but no steals as the Heat only had 7 turnovers all game (fewest in the league). Tonight, he faces a Hornets team that had 19 turnovers in their first game, and Detroit looked very formidable right out of the gate. I think Duren can hit this with ease as Terry Rozier and LaMelo Ball can be reckless with the basketball in transition and Duren was able to log 32 minutes in his first matchup, while also being on the closing 5. 1.5U

Desmond Bane (MEM) under 30.5 points and rebounds (-105)

Line available on DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Bane is coming off one of the best games of his career against the Pelicans on Wedensday night in which he logged 31-5-5 on 50% shooting from the field and from 3P. I expect his minutes to come down to the low 30’s, and this Denver Nuggets team is a tough matchup for Bane in both categories. Bane scored 5/9 from the paint last game and Denver’s frontcourt will make it much more difficult to finish at the rim; same applies to his rebounding and Jamal Murray/KCP/Reggie Jackson/Christian Braun should pull him away from the basket on defensive possessions. He averaged 22.1 points and 4.8 rebounds last season without Ja Morant in the lineup, and this line should be closer to 28.5 in my opinion. 1U

Paolo Banchero (ORL) over 19.5  points (-110)

Line available on Bet365 Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Banchero had an uncharacteristic 12 points in game 1 against the Houston Rockets, mostly because it was a blowout right out of the gate. He had only 6 FGA and 3 in all the 2H. As a rookie, Banchero averaged 20 ppg, and he has a favorable matchup tonight with Jerami Grant as the main defender. Deandre Ayton will have his hands full with Wendell Carter Jr and Jonathan Isaac, so the Duke sophomore shouldn’t see much resistance finishing at the rim. 1U
