Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA brings us 7 games on Monday. One of the key matchups will see the Sacramento Kings taking on the Dallas Mavericks. Sacramento just got rid of head coach Mike Brown and will be hoping to rally under Doug Christie against a visiting team without Luka Doncic. The league-leading Cleveland Cavaliers are also in action, taking on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. You can find our NBA picks, but for now take a look at my best NBA player prop bets of the day.

Domantas Sabonis (SAC) Over 5.5 assists (-115)

Domantas Sabonis has been able to record 6 or more assists in 3 of his last 5 games. The Kings have lost 6 straight and it will be up to their stars to rise to the occasion to end their current run. The Mavericks should be a favorable opponent for Sabonis to affect the game as a playmaker. He averaged 7.3 assists per game against them last season. Over the last 10 games the Mavericks are also 19th in the league in opponent assists per game. Against a shot blocking big like Daniel Gafford, Sabonis will probably have success playmaking from the top of the key and forcing him away from the basket — allowing the Lithuanian to find cutting teammates. The Mavericks are 12th in opponent personal fouls per game, so foul trouble should be no issue on Monday. With enough playing time, look for Sabonis to have major influence over this game.

Josh Giddey (CHI) Over 6.5 rebounds (-125)

Chicago Bulls point guard Josh Giddey has been stuffing the stat sheet this month. One category he has thrived in has been rebounding, averaging 8.9 per game in December. His 15-rebound performance in his last outing against the Milwaukee Bucks was great evidence of such. The Charlotte Hornets will give him a great chance to keep this run going here. Over the last 10 games they are bottom of the NBA in true shooting percentage, meaning there will be no shortage of misses for him to chase down. With his opponents also 29th in 3-point percentage during that time, it should provide him long rebounding opportunities for Giddey to collect. The Hornets have seen Mark Williams return to the lineup, too. With his length, Nikola Vucevic will be preoccupied keeping away from collecting offensive boards. That should allow Giddey to sweep in and reap the benefits.

Keyonte George (UTA) Over 2.5 made threes (-120)

Over the last 10 games the Utah Jazz have led the NBA in 3-point percentage. Keyonte George has been a major part. He has been making 2.7 3-pointers per game in December on 37.3% shooting. George had his best shooting night of his season so far in his last outing against the Detroit Pistons, in which he knocked down 7 of 13 attempts from beyond the arc. It was his 3 game from his last 4 in which he has been able to hit the over on this line. He will now ace the Denver Nuggets, a team that is 24th in opponent 3-point attempts over the last 10 games. Considering his recent form, he should get no shortage of looks . He has already hit this over against the Nuggets in both of his games against them this season. In those contests he has combined to hit 9 of his 23 attempts. With his hot hand, do not expect him to go cold.
