In week 14 of the NFL season there are five teams that are projected to score 28 or more points for the Sunday slate for fantasy football and DFS. This article will look at the top five must start players for the slate that give us the best chance of making a huge win in your fantasy playoffs. We will examine the top quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and flex on the slate. We’ll begin by looking at the top quarterback.

Quarterback, Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are projected to score the most points on this slate at 31.75 which means they are projected to score more than four touchdowns in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The New Orleans Saints are averaging the 11th most passing yards in the NFL with 269.17 yards per game while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are giving up the 5th most passing yards per game with 274.33 yards. I look for Brees to throw for multiple touchdowns in this game as well as over 300 yards making him the top choice on the board this week.

Running Back, Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are projected to score the 5th most points this week with 28 which means they are projected to score four touchdowns. The Atlanta Falcons are giving up the most points to pass catching running backs this season and area where Aaron Jones is electric. The Falcons are also giving up the 6th most rushing yards per game in the NFL with 130.83. I look for Jones to have over 150 total yards in this game as well as over 4 receptions and a touchdown. All of these reasons make Aaron Jones our top choice at running back this week.

Wide Receiver, Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are projected to score more than four touchdowns this week and with Brees being our top quarterback on the board I look for his go to receiver to have a big game this week. Michael Thomas ranks 5th in the receiver season rankings this season in a PPR. The Saints are averaging 269.17 passing yards per game while the Buccaneers secondary is one of the worst in the NFL and are giving up 274.33 yards per game. I look for Michael Thomas to have a big game in this one with over 5 receptions for over 100 yards and a touchdown. In week 1 Michael Thomas’s stat line was 16 receptions for 180 yards and a touchdown.

Tight End, Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are projected to score 28.75 points this week which means they should get four touchdowns. Of the elite tight ends this week Travis Kelce easily has the best match-up going against the Ravens at home. Kansas City is averaging the 3rd most passing yards in the NFL per game with 316.5. Sammy Watkins will not play in this game and I look for Tyreek Hill to be shadowed by the Raven’s top corner leaving Travis Kelce at an advantage against a weaker corner. I look for Kelce to be at the top of the tight end rankings for week 14 in the NFL.

Flex, Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are projected to score the 2nd most points this week with 31.25 points which means they should score over four touchdowns this week. The Chargers are averaging the 8th most passing yards per game in the NFL with 274.25 while the Cincinnati Bengals are giving up the 2nd most passing yards per game with 279.92. I look for Allen to be a heavy factor in this game and could easily be the top receiver this week which makes him an easy choice for our flex position this week.
