T. Kelce (KC) – Over 6.5 receptions at -145

(Ricky Dimon)

Kelce has been Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target throughout their careers, and that has especially been the case on the biggest stages. So far in these playoffs the star tight end has 21 receptions on 25 targets for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns. In last year’s AFC Championship loss to Cincinnati he caught 10 of 11 targets for 95 yards and a score. Over the last 2 games of the 2020 playoffs, Kelce hauled in a ridiculous 23 of 30 targets for 251 yards and 2 TDs. The Eagles boast a stellar defense but are nothing special when it comes to defending TEs, so there is no reason to think that they will contain Kelce on Sunday. And with Mecole Hardman sidelined for the Chiefs, the 33-year-old will be even more of a focal point for this offense. With Mahomes’ ankle likely forcing him to throw almost exclusively as opposed to tucking it and running, he will be throwing to Kelce early and often.

T. Kelce (KC) Anytime Touchdown Scorer at -108

Yes, I’m making a TD scorer a 1U play for the Super Bowl. Travis Kelce is the exception to the rule in most cases. He’s scored 3 TDs in 2 games this postseason and is far and away Mahomes favorite target in the red zone. Kelce scored in Super Bowl 55 and has 15 TDs in 17 career postseason games. At nearly even money, I see the value in this play. If it is only available at -125 or better, you can shy away. 1U.

T. Kelce to win Super Bowl MVP at +900

(Prop Holliday – Bobby Stanley)

A tight end has never won this award before. There also has never been a tight end like Travis Kelce in NFL history. And that’s not a shot at Gronk, but you can start to make the case of Kelce over Gronkowski after tying Jerry Rice for most 100-yard receiving playoff games. Anytime you break a Jerry Rice record, you deserve your flowers. The path to Kelce winning this award is clear: 100 yards receiving, 2 TD (or game winning) and 9+ receptions.

He has three 2 TD performances, seven 100-yard receiving games, and five 9+ reception games in the postseason. This is all in his wheelhouse. Had he scored in Super Bowl 55, I think he would have already won this award.
