A busy summer tennis schedule finally comes to an end with the US Open, which begins on Sunday, August 24 in New York. The women’s title should be somewhat up for grabs, as both world #1 Aryna Sabalenka and 2023 champion Coco Gauff are struggling a bit at the moment. Iga Swiatek is red hot, but she has never been as effective on fast hard courts as she is on clay. All in all, an interesting fortnight at Flushing Meadows should be in the cards. Let’s take a look at the latest US Open odds and tennis best bets to be made on the women’s singles side at the 2025 U.S. Open. You can also find out our US Open men’s singles futures picks, which feature a longshot prediction at 150-1!

US Open tennis best bet: Iga Swiatek (+280)
It is true that Swiatek is not at her absolute best on this surface, but to say that I’m not concerned at all would be a gross understatement. After all, the world #2 just won Wimbledon earlier this summer – also on a surface (grass) that you wouldn’t expect to suit her game. What did Swiatek do after that? She captured the Cincinnati title (in conditions similar to those in New York) and then finished runner-up in the new-look U.S. Open mixed doubles competition with Casper Ruud. As if that isn’t enough, the 24-year-old Pole lifted the U.S. Open trophy in 2022.
US Open tennis prediction: Mirra Andreeva (+1200)
Andreeva is without question one of the WTA Tour’s rising stars. The hype is still there, but she has cooled off a bit this season – so it’s not quite as out of control as it was…say…in 2023 and 2024. Moreover, fellow teenage sensation Victoria Mboko just won a Premier 1000 title in Montreal. If anything, Andreeva for once heads into a Grand Slam somewhat under the radar – and with relatively long odds at +1200. With the pressure relatively off, I think this where the 18-year-old Russian can really break through. The draw sets up perfectly for her. She would not meet Sabalenka until the semifinals, and the top seed may have to get past Rybakina just to make it that far. Andreeva would not face Swiatek until the final.
US Open tennis longshot pick: Madison Keys (+2200)
Keys is someone whom I always avoid on the single match market, but I love to back her in futures. After all, 30-year-old American can lose to pretty much anyone on any given day but can also go all the way at any tournament. Such is the nature of her high-risk, high-reward game. We saw her put it all together at this season’s Australian Open, where Keys captured her first Grand Slam title after defeating Sabalenka, Swiatek, Rybakina and Danielle Collins along the way. Keys is a former U.S. Open runner-up (2017) and since then she has twice returned to the semifinals. You also have to like the fact that she is in a quarter of the bracket with Gauff, who is completely devoid of confidence due to a serve that is in shambles.
