United States vs Jamaica expert picks

USA vs Jamaica money line pick: USA ML (-145)

It’s a very different USMNT that will begin the CONCACAF Gold Cup against Jamaica on Saturday night than the one team that just won the CONCACAF Nations League. Only 5 players from the successful Nations League squad are also in action in this tournament, with the US having selected a mainly MLS-based roster for this competition. That does mean, however, that every player in action for the Stars & Stripes between now and the potential final at SoFi Stadium in LA on July 16 will be out to impress manager Gregg Berhalter in a bid to become a regular starter.

Jamaica should be the second-strongest team in the group, but this US team should still be strong enough for this mission as Jamaica is winless in 10 games and has lost 5 of those games to low-ranked opposition such as Jordan and Trinidad & Tobago. In contrast, confidence should be high in the United States locker room after wins over Mexico (3-0) and Canada (2-0) to win the Nations League. Most of these players are different but the program as a whole looks to be on the rise and should make a winning start in Chicago.
