The NFL’s International Series continues with a Week 4 showdown in Dublin, Ireland between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s not exactly a potential Super Bowl preview, but both teams are 2-1 and have very real playoff aspirations.
Here is my Same Game Parlay for the festivities, which get underway at 9:30 am ET on NFL Network. Also be sure to check out our full Vikings vs Steelers predictions.
Steelers ML (+120)
D.K. Metcalf to score a touchdown (+165)
Carson Wentz Over 220.5 passing yards (+110)
Parlay odds: +800
Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Pittsburgh wide receiver D.K. Metcalf scoring a touchdown would obviously work well with a Steelers win. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing Minnesota quarterback Carson Wentz to throw for his fair share of yards. But even if he does, there is no reason why the Steelers can’t take care of business. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.
Steelers ML (+120)
The Vikings humiliated a depleted Bengals squad 48-10 last week, but there is no reason to think that lightning will strike twice. Wentz is starting at QB for Minnesota (J.J. McCarthy is sidelined by an ankle injury) and his sample size of success over the past handful of years is very, very small. Aside from last week, the Vikes just barely beat the Bears in Week 1 and then got thumped 22-6 by the Falcons at home. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers have compiled their 2-1 mark in arguably more impressive fashion. Their only loss is to a respectable Seattle outfit. In any somewhat unique situation (such as this game in Ireland), I will generally roll with the QB (Rodgers) and head coach (Mike Tomlin) that has a lot of experience. This matchup is no exception.
D.K. Metcalf to score a touchdown (+165)
Metcalf and Rodgers will continue to build chemistry as the season progresses. They are already off to a pretty good start in Pittsburgh, with Metcalf having scored in each of the last 2 games. Although the Vikings’ pass defense has been solid so far this year, don’t forget that they were #28 league wide in that department during the 2025 campaign and surrendered 24 TDs through the air. Look for Metcalf to extend his touchdown streak to 3 games.
Carson Wentz Over 220.5 passing yards (+110)
This actually doesn’t go against a Steelers money line pick because the Vikings will have to air it out if they are playing from behind. That would naturally lead to more attempts and more yards for Wentz. It is true that the veteran out of North Dakota State threw for only 172 yards last week, but the game was such a blowout that he finished with just 20 attempts. That is unlikely to be the case again on Sunday. The Steelers were #25 against the pass least year and are #26 against the pass so far this season.
