NBA

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Western Conference has been incredibly competitive, as shown by the second Game 7 in as many days. The Golden State Warriors will be visiting the Houston Rockets, trying not to be one of the few teams in NBA history to give up a 3-1 lead. The young Houston Rockets will be looking to complete this feat on the back of the leadership of Fred VanVleet, who has been carrying the team of late.

Jimmy Butler Over 23.5 points (-125)

Quinten Post Over 3.5 rebounds (-120)

Alperen Sengun to record a double-double (-245)

Warriors vs Rockets Same Game Parlay odds: +350

Jimmy Butler Over 23.5 points (-125)

This is exactly the type of game for which the Golden State Warriors acquired Jimmy Butle. They simply need him to get going on Sunday. The Warriors have been able to win 2 of the 3 games in which Butler managed at least 25 points. Expect them to turn to their star early and often. Game 6 between these teams marked the second most field-goal attempts he has had this series, it’s hard to see him drop off.

Butler has had some issues from beyond the arc this series, making just 23.1% of his 3-point attempts. Considering he knocked down over 36% percent of his attempts as a part of the Miami Heat this season, it feels like a matter of time before he has a bounce-back performance. He has been incredibly efficient getting to the line, too, attempting 12 or more free-throws in 2 of his last 3 games. Look for him to use that to have a big scoring night.

Quinten Post Over 3.5 rebounds (-120)

The Warriors have had real issues dealing with the size of the Rockets’ bigs, and I expect them to turn to Quinten Post to solve that issue. He excelled in game 3 of the series, managing 12 rebounds in the game. With the center providing floor spacing thanks to the fact that he has made over 40% of his 3-point attempts this season, he should be able to earn a bigger role than Kevon Looney — who does not possess such shooting ability.

The Rockets have been rolling with 2 big lineups, with Steven Adams and Alperen Sengun both taking to the floor during spells. With neither big being a major threat from outside of the paint, it should leave the Warriors’ big men in great position to bring down defensive rebounds. That is something from which Post should benefit. I’m backing him to come up big for the Warriors.

Alperen Sengun to record a double-double (-245)

Sengun has been a consistent performer in points and rebounds during this series. The Turkish center has not failed to achieve double-digit points in any of the games. And while he hasn’t achieved the same mark in rebounds, he has hit double-digits in 4 of the 6 games. In the games where he failed to do so, he managed 9 rebounds in those performances.

When it comes to size, the Warriors have had real issues matching up with the Rockets. As a result, he should be in great position not only to chase down defensive rebounds — but also to be a factor on the offensive glass. With Steven Adams drawing a lot of the attention in the paint, look for Sengun to be free to chase down rebounds that will help him get the double-double.
