Best NBA Bets Today: Odds & Picks for every game on Tuesday, March 17

Long-time NBA fan, following the game closely for 21 years now. Joined the Pickswise writing staff for the 2020-21 season and have given out winning picks since. Hopefully we can make some money together! Oh, and I firmly believe Lebron James is not one of the two best basketball players of all time. Yeah, I said it. SGA, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jalen Brunson are among the many stars hitting the NBA hardwood on Tuesday night as an 8-game slate comes our way. Don’t miss out on NBC’s double-header featuring Cavaliers vs Bucks, as well as 76ers vs Nuggets.

I have combed through all 8 matchups and have picked out my NBA best bets for each of them. Let’s break it down, while you can also get our expert NBA picks for every matchup on Tuesday, March 17, as well as throughout the entire season!

Pistons vs Wizards NBA best bet: Duncan Robinson over 10.5 points (+100)

These are really solid odds for a bet that has cashed in 60% of games this season for Duncan Robinson. The last time he played the Wizards, Robinson finished with 21 points. It was the third time in 4 meetings he was able to clear this line. The Wizards allow the 2nd most points this season and rank sixth in points allowed to opposing shooting guards.

Thunder vs Magic NBA best bet: Paolo Banchero over 21.5 points (-102)

Banchero is a nightly mismatch at the PF position against most teams. As good as the Thunder are on defense, I don’t think this is a good matchup at all for Chet Holmgren. Banchero’s last 2 home games against OKC saw him score 23 and 25 points. He has been solid enough lately to warrant our trust.

Heat vs Hornets NBA best bet: Hornets -3.5 (-110)

I’m hoping the Hornets can wake up after losing their last 2 games. Miami has had their number this season, winning all 3 meetings so far — but at some point pride has to kick in for Charlotte. There is a chance Bam Adebayo sits this one out; that would be a major handicap for a Heat team that just had its 7-game winning streak snapped.

Pacers vs Knicks NBA best bet: Pacers +16.5 (-108)

The Pacers always seem to play with an edge when they go up against the Knicks. Despite the losing streak and all the injury issues they have, I don’t think we should disregard them so easily on Tuesday at MSG. They have won once and covered in all 3 meetings with New York this season.

Suns vs Timberwolves NBA best bet: Suns +4 (-112)

Minnesota is without Ant Man. Can it rely on Julius Randle to carry it, averaging just 15.2 points per game and shooting just 20% over the last 10 outings? Phoenix won the first 2 meetings, has a healthy Devin Booker at its disposal and is one of the more reliable road teams against the spread this season.

Cavaliers vs Bucks NBA best bet: Bucks +10 (-108)

Time is running out for Giannis and company in their quest of making it into the play-in tournament. Cleveland’s confidence will be shaken after the embarrassing loss to Dallas over the weekend, I feel like the Bucks can keep things interesting or even pull off the upset completely.

76ers vs Nuggets NBA best bet: Nuggets -15.5 (-110)

This should be a one-sided affair given the injury situation in Philadelphia. Denver needs the win following the disappointing loss in LA, bouncing back here allows them to get a step closer to that third seed in the West. If they can guard against complacency, they should get the job done.

Spurs vs Kings NBA best bet: DeMar DeRozan 4+ assists (-154)

All of a sudden the Kings have won 4 of their last 5 games and nobody knows how or why. DeMar DeRozan has turned back the clock a bit, averaging 20.2 points and 5.3 assists per game in his last 9 outings. In 2 games against his former team he is averaging 23.5 points and 4.5 assists, he will be extra motivated to do well against them on Tuesday. San Antonio ranks eighth in assists allowed to opposing SFs this season.
