As the NBA season continues it seems more and more players are being knicked up and no one is really at 100 percent. Let’s break down some of the key injuries and what effect it has on the team in our NBA Key Injury Report.

Kent Bazemore Shooting Guard Hawks

Kent Bazemore is dealing with an ankle injury and there isn’t a timetable set yet for when he will return. As much of an effect it has on the team it might have more of effect on the trade market. Most expect that Bazemore will be traded before the trade deadline so the quicker he is healed the better.

Cody Zeller Center Hornets

Cody Zeller is still recovering from a broken hand and is expected to be out until at least the first part of February but it could be longer.

Kevin Love Power Forward Cavaliers

Kevin Love is still dealing with a toe injury and is expected to be out until early February. There is a chance the Cavaliers could trade him so they really want him healthy ASAP.

J.J Barea Point Guard Mavericks

The Mavericks were dealt a big blow with J.J. Barea being lost for the season with an Achilles injury. Although he doesn’t get a ton of attention he was having a very nice year.

Isaiah Thomas Point Guard Nuggets

It’s the same story every week for Isaiah Thomas. He is getting closer to a return from a hip injury but it’s still anyone guess when that return will happen.

DeMarcus Cousins Center Warriors

Next week the hope is DeMarcus Cousins won’t be on the injury report! He is expected to return to the court on January 18th from an Achilles injury.

Clint Capela Center Rockets

The Rockets were handed a big blow with Clint Capela out 4-6 weeks after suffering a hand injury. With Chris Paul also out it’s going to turn into even more of the James Harden show.

LeBron James Small Forward Lakers

LeBron James is still dealing with the groin injury and is expected out at least the next two games. The hope is that he will be able to return during the Lakers next home stand. The Lakers are really struggling and if he misses too much time there is a chance they could end up missing out on the playoffs.

Robert Covington Small Forward Timberwolves

Robert Covington is dealing with an ankle injury and the Wolves haven’t announced a timetable for his return. It wouldn’t be surprising if he missed another month and that is a big blow to the Wolves.

Markieff Morris Power Forward Wizards

Markieff Morris is dealing with a neck injury that is expected to keep him out a while. He is expected to be out until the middle of February but there is a chance this could hold him out until March.

Ricky Rubio Point Guard Jazz

Ricky Rubio is dealing with a hamstring that should sideline him until next week. In the meantime it’s Donovan Mitchell who has been running the point and that has actually worked out with some success.
