Last week was arguably one of our worst weeks in DFS must-start recommendations. As a result, we didn’t cash on DraftKings or FanDuel. Jacoby Brissett was the lone bright spot returning great value. However, the other two did not fare well at all. The Alexander Mattison recommendation was made due to the expectation that Dalvin Cook would be limited, but Cook wasn’t limited at all. The Steelers looked inept against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL despite the win. We will move on from that, and we will look to bounce back from last week’s poor showing. We still have been profitable on both sites this season, which is hard to complain about doing.
Ryan Tannehill: Where’s the respect in DFS?
Over the previous few weeks, Ryan Tannehill has transformed the Tennessee Titan’s offense into one of the best in the NFL. In each of the last three weeks, Tannehill has thrown for multiple touchdowns, including a 391-yard three-touchdown game last week against the Oakland Raiders. However, Ryan Tannehill remains one of the cheapest options at the quarterback position on both sites. This week the Titans will be going up against the Houston Texans. The game has a projected total of 50.5 points, making it the highest projected total for week 15. The Texans enter this game, giving up the 6th most passing yards per game with 265.31. I look for Tannehill to once again return tremendous value at his current salary on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Jarvis Landry Finds Pay Dirt
Last week we recommended James Washington in our must-start article. However, Washington failed us catching four passes for 33 yards. The Cardinals still have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL despite the showing last week. Patrick Peterson is still one of the better shadow-corners in the league and will be matched up against Odell Beckham Jr., leaving Landry as the primary target this week for Mayfield. The game has a projected total of 48.5 points and is one of our NFL picks to go over the total. The Cardinals are giving up the most passing yards in the NFL with 294.23 yards allowed per game and rank 22nd in the NFL in yards allowed per attempt. Jarvis Landry is going to go off in this game, and he is my guarantee touchdown for week 15.
Todd Gurley Continues Resurgence in DFS
The Los Angeles Rams have finally started to give Gurley the rock more over the previous few weeks. Last week, Gurley had 23 carries for 79 yards and one touchdown while adding another four receptions for 34 yards. The Rams are fighting to stay in the playoff race, and I look for Gurley to remain the focal point of the offense. Dallas ranks 17th in rushing yards allowed per game with 109.85. Gurley will have another solid outing this week.
