Game 3 of the WNBA Finals tips off tonight as the series heads to Chicago for the third and fourth game. There have only been two games so far, but what an exciting series between these two squads!
Kahleah Copper over 15.5 points (-114)
Copper netted 15 points in Wednesday’s road loss, with 10 of those coming in the first half. She shot 50% from the field with zero attempts behind the arc and only one made free throw. Copper is averaging 18.1 points per game in her eight playoff games and has been Chicago’s go-to player all postseason. I expect her to get back on track tonight, as her and Phoenix guard Sophie Cunningham go head-to-head again after their fiery Game 2 battle.
Phoenix Mercury over 81.5 points (-115)
Although Phoenix only scored 77 points in regulation in Game 2, this has hit in six of their 9 playoff contests as the Mercury are averaging 88.1 points per game in the playoffs. The big-3 in Griner, Taurasi, and Diggins-Smith combined for 62 of Phoenix’s 91 total points while Sophie Cunningham drained three 3’s in the first half then did not score the rest of the game. The Mercury will have to find other effective ways to score the ball as Chicago can easily string together a run and not look back.
