One of the biggest games on Sunday’s MLB slate comes on the west coast, where the Los Angeles Dodgers will host the New York Yankees in a World Series rematch on Sunday Night Baseball. The Dodgers have been inconsistent over the past few weeks, but they’ve dominated the series to this point, having dispatched of New York by a combined score of 26-7 over the first 2 games. On the other side, the Yankees could really use a victory to stop the bleeding against their chief adversary in the National League.
To add a little more excitement to this matchup, I have pieced together my Yankees vs Dodgers Same Game Parlay picks at +525 odds. You can also get MLB picks on the side and total for Sunday’s big matchups.
Dodgers -1.5 (+120)
Aaron Judge to record an RBI (+120)
Yankees vs Dodgers Same Game Parlay odds: +525
Dodgers -1.5 (+120)
To start off our Yankees vs Dodgers Same Game Parlay, we’ll go with the Dodgers on the run line. Los Angeles has been the much better team over the first 2 games of the series, and we can expect the Dodgers’ lineup to stay hot against Ryan Yarborough, who doesn’t have much in the way of overpowering stuff. And even if the soft-tossing southpaw puts together another solid start, all it takes is a couple of runs for this leg of our parlay to be in play.
The hosts are going to send Japanese ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto to the mound, and this typically means good things are in store for the Dodgers. After all, Yamamoto has established himself as one of the games best pitchers and he is coming off a pair of outstanding outings against the Diamondbacks and Guardians in which he allowed just 4 hits and 2 total runs in a 13-inning span. Given that he’s held success against the Yankees lineup in multiple previous meetings, including a matchup in last year’s World Series at Dodger Stadium, I’m expecting another strong outing from the Dodgers best pitcher on Sunday. All things considered, I’ll stick with the favorites to complete the sweep.
Aaron Judge to record an RBI (+120)
For our second and final leg in our Same Game Parlay, let’s go with Aaron Judge to record an RBI on Sunday. Unlike most of the Yankees’ lineup, Judge has performed extremely well in this series– notching 3 home runs and as many RBIs over the first 2 games. The right-handed slugger is clearly the game’s best hitter at the moment, and while he has a tall task at hand facing Yamamoto, Judge still has a double in 5 career at-bats against the Dodgers’ top pitcher. There’s certainly a path for Judge to succeed, so let’s grab a bit more value with the all-world hitter and look for him to capitalize with runners in scoring position. It’s an admittedly small sample size, but I’ll roll with the hot bat and count on Judge to do some more damage under the lights.
