The Dallas Stars are set to battle the Nashville Predators on Saturday afternoon at Bridgestone Arena. Dallas is looking to get back into the win column after suffering a back-and-forth 7-5 loss to Anaheim on Thursday. The Stars are off to a relatively inconsistent start this season, but their ceiling is far higher than that of the Predators. Nashville is struggling to score goals, ranking 3rd-worst in the NHL with 2.44 goals per game. Only Filip Forsberg and Ryan O’Reilly have reached double-digit points, as Nashville simply doesn’t have the same offensive depth that Dallas does.

The Stars already have 4 skaters at the double-digit point mark, with Mikko Rantanen leading the way with 20 of his own. With Wyatt Johnston, Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, and Miro Heiskanen also in the mix, Dallas has arguably the best scoring depth in the NHL. It’s also worth mentioning that not having Roman Josi available is a massive loss for the Predators. Josi is an all-world defenseman who has a large impact on both ends of the ice.
