Oilers vs Golden Knights Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers open their series in Vegas, and we should be treated to a very exciting game. There is no skill shortage on either side, so that bodes well if you’re a fan of goals. Both teams come into this series hoping to figure out their goaltending situation. Adin Hill of Vegas is a very good goalie, but at times in the first round he didn’t look sharp. For Edmonton, we don’t know yet who will start Game 1 — but whoever it is will need to be a lot better than he was in the first round.
The Golden Knights are a team that can score on home ice, and we should expect no different in this series. The Oilers weren’t very good on the road early in their series against Los Angeles, and while they did get better as the series went on, there is still a chance they come out flat. We also can’t trust Stuart Skinner or Calvin Pickard. You could make an argument that Skinner gets another chance to lead this team, and if that is the case he may get lit up like a Christmas tree. We should expect a lot of high-danger scoring chances from both teams, which hopefully will lead to a lot of goals.
