Canadiens vs Penguins Pickswise Expert Predictions

Game Totals Pick
Over 6.5(-105)

The Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins renew hostilities for the second time in less than 24 hours. Montreal secured a 4-0 win at home, thanks to a 31-save effort from rookie Jacob Fowler. The Penguins have now lost eight straight games and are quickly dropping in the standings of the Metropolitan Division. There’s still time to turn things around, but they need to find a way to end this streak.

Pittsburgh has now been shut out in consecutive games, but it’s not for lack of effort. They generate shots on goal, but can’t find the net. Their power play has been outstanding all season, operating at 29.5%, but it’s also gone cold. The Canadiens allow a fair number of scoring chances, but lately, they haven’t been scoring themselves. Over their last four games, they’ve only allowed six goals. This will also be the third game in four nights for either team, so fatigue might start to show. We saw a low-scoring game last night, but things could be different this time. We’ll lean slightly towards the Over and hope the goalies don’t let us down.

Canadiens vs Penguins Prediction: Over 6.0 (-105) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number or better.
